This is how your chainwhip shouldt on your cassette. Make sure toput as much of the chain over thesecond to largest cog. This is togive the chainwhip as much torqueon the cassette while not having

the possibility of the chain runninginto the spokes. Also note that thetool should be in your left handwhile the wheel is facing awayfrom you.

As the lockring has been takenoff, put the wheel horizontal andgrab the entire cassette. Thewhole cassette should come offaltogether. If the cassette feelssticky, it can be removed one cog

at a time to nd the one stuck, assometimes cogs dig into the hubcassette body. This may be able tobe removed by putting a at headscrew driver between the cogs andturning it to pop the cog free.

Here is where you pull thederailleur back again and line thechain up on the rst cog on thecassette as to help guide the wheelinto the dropouts and keep thechain from getting caught between

the frame and the cassette.Once the chain is aligned and thecassette is passing the derailleurpush the wheel up into thedropouts COMPLETELY. Be sure thewheel is in the dropouts fully, it iscritical to make your bike functionproperly and if not installedproperly could be dangerous forthe rider. Once checking both sides

are in and wheel is straight in theframe lock down the skewer tightbut do not over tighten.

After making sure the wheel is inproperly and secured, pull downthe brake release if on similarsize rims. If your training wheelis clincher as well as your racewheel, you should be able to ride

with the brake release secureddown. If you have tubular racewheels, the braking surface maybe slightly wider than the trainingwheel, in which leaving the brakerelease up will have the brakelever have the same travel in it.The brake release does not haveto only be up or down, feel free totest how the brakes feel and where

the lever sits during your race, thisis an easy adjuster without usingtools and can be put back whenthe race is over.

Screw the High Limit Screw inor out so as the top pulley onthe derailleur lines up directlyunder the rst cog on a 10-speedcassette. With 9-speed the pulleyshould be slightly to the right of

the rst cog, as the cogs on a9-speed are slightly larger thanon a 10-speed needs to be slightlyoffset.
