GOVERNOR MESSAGE

The month of August went by with some

results that should make us think. We are

1200 Rotarians just the minimum required

before being absorbed by another district.

We have new revenue valued partners, we

have enthusiasm, we are willing to work, we

do, but inevitably we are also suffering, for

various reasons deplorable retreats. What is

left? Go ahead convinced that our movement

will not stop, every day it will be strengthened

in numbers and especially in quality.

We need to approach the youth, go to her and offer our experience. There are

ways to do it. Nothing written so far and taught in seminars or newsletters or

important meetings has truly successful unless conformed as indicated by RI :

numbers denoting any stagnation compared to growth rate of humanity.

What ways? Which we can think, the sprout of our creativity. So do not wait,

initiate or to continue on our most rotary motion that illuminates and enlightens

us to observe us.

During visits to clubs in the district, 24 to date, Chela and me check that there

are effective, very good and good minority. We'll be most effective to have clubs,

I am convinced it will not be so hard and know you the why? Because all visited

breathe affection noticed joy we felt at home. We were friends, shared and

talked the same language. We are not mistaken in appreciation, we are the best

in a society of many deep gaps and deviations. If we think and act putting the

word "we" to "I" will see that everything will be easier and more productive. Let's

test, the results will not wait.

Ending this rugged and sensitive issue but I can not escape, let me most humbly

ask that we think about our first reason to be Rotarians: do good work together

to achieve it. The reasons for our stationary condition are due to many factors,

most of which exogenous. Why not resign and we will continue in the shadows,

on the contrary, the human face of difficulties "grow" and we Rotarians with

more energy and vigor.

CHANGE OF GOVERNMENT

Rossi Leone Governor regrets to

inform us that the announced visit for

September, 2014 of the President of

Rotary International Gary Huang has

been suspended.

We hope that they can overcome the

arising problems and can be reschedule

t h e v i s i t f o r t h e f i r s t

half of the year 2015.

August Month Membership and Extension. Authorities Rotarians, friends all,

Back in 1912, and just over a century, Paul Harris was about to complete her

second year as President of Rotary International. On that occasion he said: "The

guarantee of continuity of Rotary is in your future, not your past. For Rotary

this morning is not the twilight. "

We are at the crossroads of a digitized and globalized world, in constant and

rapid change, in which the internet is an endless galaxy of opinions, change that

are occurring at breakneck speed fiber optics, and it is affecting, very seriously ,

our century-old institution.

Dear colleagues, we need to reflect, with compelling urgency about the future

of our fraternal organization. Therefore, we can not and must not remain indif-

ferent, without courage, in the darkness of ignorance, waiting for the next gen-

eration to assume its responsibilities as it would certainly be too late.

To this end we must ask: How do you make Rotary more attractive, more mag-

netic, for young people living in our globalized world?

How to motivate youth - the members of the New generations to join and re-

main in our organization? Interactors and Rotaractors are our immense nursery, but that is just a tiny fraction of New Generations.

How can we improve?

Organize a new Rotary club

With the establishment of a new club not only increase in number, we also expanded the scope of Rotary to interconnect different

perspectives and make a positive change in our community. Although the organization of new clubs is no easy task, all clubs, we might

sponsor one with a minimum of 20 charter members. It's time to organize another club? if: How and where ?: In a nearby town that

has its own club. Partners must or want to meet at other times. Local youth leaders, want to have their own seed, to create new Ro-

tary leaders. To the young people of the new generations have to help promote cyber clubs:

How to organize a cyber club? Cyber clubs offer all the advantages of a traditional Rotary club to meet more easily online. Learn

more about membership, types of meetings and service projects. Technical requirements: a proper website is required. The found-

ing partners must manage the club website. Platform for online meetings. Members only sections on the website to protect the per-

sonal data of members. Are we meeting the expectations of our Fifth Avenue Service? "Youth Services", are the backbone of tomor-

row's society. Only when young people join in cosmic brotherhood, to get our organization, joining forces with illusion, consolidate

the promising future you watched our founder Paul Harris.

In other words, we have only reached our goal when young people around the world respond with enthusiasm and dedication to the

call of our successful motto: "Service Above Self Yes Yes."

Young people today are immersed in social media in a media society. It is usually expressed in terms of "global contacts",

"transnational voluntarism", "online communications" and "multicultural interactions." It is likely that our traditional references to

"friendship groups", "talks of fellowship" and "ways of peace" does not find them attractive.

To meet the challenges of the admission of new members, it is imperative, if we see another century of Rotary, so it is not a relic of

the past.

That we respect the ideas and opinions of young people, to listen to your speech with sincere interest, offer them a genuine friendship

from the beginning, so we can build bridges of friendship across New Generations.

Why deny others the honor of being Rotarians enjoy, like us, the privilege of being proud custodians of a glorious heritage of funda-

mental ethical values that are more than 109 years with huge projection capability in the future?

What are we waiting for greening our ranks and not to keep to the frustration of unmet needs?

You my dear young people, are the germ, the right seed, to strengthen Rotary and make history, to strengthen our movement.

Let us make this dream a reality we all deserve.

So all together, mobilize Rotary sprocket with one purpose, TO ILLUMINATE ROTARY, WITH A PERMANENT CALL PAR NEW

GENERATIONS.

TEAM MEMBER DISTRICT 2014-2015

IN THE AREA OF EXTENSION AND GROWTH

THE PRESIDENT OF THE DISTRICT VOLUNTEER COMMITTEE MESSAGE

Graciela (Chela) Rossi

Dear friends of the district

committee of volunteers.

In this second letter, I'm

pleased to confirm, after visiting 24 of our clubs, that

the enthusiasm and

commitment of the various

committees is very strong.

I will not stop saying that the

number of our members and

collaborators (since it needs

to grow) is very

important. However, it is even more important the

quality of those involved.

Fortunately, the quality is

there.

Besides, we are applying the notion that everybody is welcomed, that

everybody can collaborate, including families, friends and the

community as a whole.

Also, we need to understand and value that our deeds may vary in their form, but they always will be good. Some would be physical,

other social, spiritual, charity, or of any other kind. Each club will

define its on course trying to distance itself from comparisons,

competitions, or the rated of personal objectives. Our members will

feel valued for being helpful.

Let's remember throughout the year that is not important to shine

but to illuminate.

Let's take advantage that this month is dedicated to the issue of membership. Let's make an extra effort to strengthen our

membership, and find those new potential Rotarians that can increase

the numbers. That has been the main objetive of RI since its

origin. I'd like to quote Warren Harding, President of the United

States, and Rotarian in a RI conference in St Louis, Missouri from the

book "A century of Service" written in 1923, pages 92 and 132, "If like

a tree, I could Plant a Rotary in every community in the world...it will

guarantee the peace and progress of the world. If I could plant the

spirit of Rotary...and put it in practice, the human condition would

not be affected by so many tragedies." More recently, in 1956 the President of RI Gianpaolo Lang from Livorno, Italy, said: "I think that

Rotary, basically, is simple and that we lose sight of it meaning when

we immersed ourselves in papers and external procedures. We must

free ourselves of unnecessary structures and reclaim the basic. Let's

be simple, since, usually the simple road tends to be the best".

Before I say goodbye, I'd like to thank all the people who collaborated

for the success event of the cup of friendship, the RC Maneiro, and

the clubs from Cumaná and Carupano. Likewise, to the organizers of

each club. Many thanks to Simón and Marlene, and a special recognition to Angélica for the editing of the bulletin for the cup of

friendship.

Sincerely,

Chela

The Friendship Cup Route

Dear fellow Rotarians, Rotaractors, Interactors, Volunteer Committee

Members and Contributors:

Please accept my most cordial greetings and hug.

This Rotary year 2014-2015, I received the beautiful task of being the

District Coordinating Committee on Friendship Cup by our District

Governor Leone Rossi and especially our Volunteer Committee Chair-

man, Graciela Bravo de Rossi. For this responsibility, I have the support

of Simon, our Past Governor and Executive Coordinator.

It's been 16 years approximately since the Friendship Cup toured our

District! It is a beautiful initiative that encourages the friendship, the

companionship… starts up the Interclub and maintains the Rotary fam-

ily together! It is for these reasons, this Rotary year 2014-2015, we will put up again the Cup just like last year and we will have the

following schedule:

Start on Wednesday, August, 13, in R.C. Maneiro and depart from Margarita,

Cumaná: on September 6, the same, had already been submitted to all in the Rotary Foundation Seminar, held in Cumaná, do-

nated by: Munir Import and our colleague Munir Batika of R. C. Maturin San Simon.

This tour will last throughout the year and will end in the 2015 Conference in the Caribbean cruise.

We have created a Committee for groups, with the roles and responsibilities of direct and ensure travel Cup and above all support

and guide Presidents and their committees of volunteers. The fundamental goal of the Cup, is to achieve the union and the approach

of the clubs, through activities around it and they attached this time corresponding to its club pin, this should not exceed 4 x 4 cm,

the same must be attached, glued, welded or adhered to the Cup, safe and permanent, including drilling and screwed to prevent a

fall and perish, in addition to facilitating their transport on the route planned.

The final destination, name and tribute of the Cup, will be decided by the Governor, if so, considered it desirable.

We highly appreciate careful participation and originality, in doing a fellowship, cheerful and participative.

We have chosen on Saturdays and Sundays, so they can participate with as much colleagues and friends and even to travel to distant

places, to the delight of the host clubs.

To finish we have already chosen, with the consent of each, the coordinators of the eastern part of the country and Aragua, we

hope names of fellow enthusiasts who can collaborate with us on this beautiful day that we will try to follow personally as our possi-

bilities.

Light up Rotary!

Yours in Rotary, August 13, First Group RC Maneiro

We invite you to the secretaries of the clubs to do this task, to the maximum five days following the end of the month, date on which will be sent

the MONTHLY LETTER with the received data. Also, we invite you to report directly both to the district Secretariat and through the

ClubRunner.

It would be great to be able to count on the information the number of partners at the beginning and end of each month and be able to verify the

increase in the number of partners and not to lose sight of this parameter so important to our district.

Don't forget the new program of recognition to “Rotary Godparents”, who from July 1, 2013, instituted by the directors of the Rotary

International to pay tribute to the Rotarians who sponsor new partners, who will receive a special insignia for contributing to the development of

the membership.

Do not forget that from 1 to September 15, 2014, the Committee’s Proposal will be receiving by clubs of

District 4370, for nominations for the office of Governor Proposed District 4370 for Rotary year 2017

-2018.

Proposals must be submitted via email to [email protected]

Dear fellows Rotary D-4370,

I am pleased to to address you reiterating the lines directed by the Governor of RI District 4370 Leone Rossi. We know

how difficult it is to raise funds and for this reason, the Governor wanted to help all clubs in a simple but effective way.

It's that all Rotarians District 4370 we use a new Master Card through contract between AC District 4370 of Rotary In-

ternational and BANPLUS the financial institution.

By issuing a credit card, Banplus will pay to our Association 50% of its physical value, later, in the first days of each month,

Banplus will pay 0.25 % of the expenses and/or services invoiced in previous.

All proceeds from the use of the credit card to be paid quarterly accounts Rotary clubs in District 4370, according to ex-

penses their partners have done. In this way, the government pays justly the product of that ef-

fort.

You will say: "0.25% is nothing" but if we take a club of 20 members, for example: If a partner domiciled electricity, Inter-

net, cable TV, school children, health insurance, car insurance etc. these costs amount to approximately Bs. 10,000.00.

How much the investment? "Nothing," only a little time invested in the process. This would produce the club Bs. 25,00

monthly per member. You will say "That's nothing" !!!! But if multiplied by 20 members, we would be estimating Bs

500.00 per month, ie quarterly, the club would receive Bs 1.500,00; and it would receive Bs. 6.000,00 per year.

Now, how much money out of your pocket to donate to the Club? "NOTHING" !! Just a little time to fill out the form.

And for that, we'll help: Jorge Sleiman [email protected] and myself Robiro Terán [email protected]

I remain at your disposal for any questions.

Robiro Terán

Dear friends:

Rotary gives us the opportunity to contribute directly to the future of

our program leaders through Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA).

There are many young people with outstanding leadership characteristics

they need Tools for strengthen their skills, that is why each club can

make a seminar, camp, or workshop to contribute to the personal

growth and leadership qualities of these young people or we can partici-

pate postulating young to attend seminars that make neighbouring clubs.

My own experience is that the RYLA changed my life, gave me focus and tools I'll always thank you, I have 22 years of

service to Rotary, both Rotaract and Rotary, and much of my professional successes I thank my club San Antonio de los

Altos who sponsored me to attend this seminar.

We change lives in positive postulating RYLA candidates or go further and to commit ourselves with youth conducting

a training seminar, we follow the example of the following Rotary Clubs:

It also plans to organize the Rotary clubs of New Toledo Cumana, Barcelona and Baruta who promptly we indicate the

date.

It is important to note that, if your club is going to do this, first contact us to work with you and advise, and together

with the team of our Governor Leone, we are willing to accompany you in this beautiful adventure, dare that world

needs us and we are able to facts to illuminate Rotary.
