Changing scenario in Indian agriculture from mere subsistence farming to

take up agriculture lead to the demand of timely and technically sound advice with

reliable market oriented agricultural information. Agriculture & rural development is

on the thrush hold of a dynamic growth. Promoting sustainable agriculture with rural

development remains a challenge

On other hand, India needs to generate at least 10 million new livelihood opportunities

a year over the next 15 years to sustain its economy. Poverty is no longer a rural

of hope to agricultural & rural peoples:- Medicinal & aromatic cultivations

HCMS conducted numbers of awareness, seminars, trainings, campaigns, workshop & education programs for medicinal & aromatic farming. The organization not only provides consultancy to domestic but also promoting this cultivation too globally. Support cultivation of medicinal & aromatic plants that is a key to integrity, quality, and efficacy and integrating medicinal plants in the farming systems, offer an option of crop diversification and enhance incomes of farmers. Adopted a co-ordinate approach with agricultural farmers .It include promotion of cultivation,

supply of seedlings to growers, generation of organic manure, finding new sources of water and

supporting efforts for cultivation and trade these plants for upliftment of agricultural peoples Activities & Achievements We already benefited 2000 of grower all over INDIA by promoting medicinal & aromatic

farming About 200 acres of land has been developed as medicinal plants estate Supported in establishment of small nursery of medicinal & aromatic plants, India A demonstration garden is under developed at Bassi,Lapura Already promoted 100 acres of land under Aloe Vera cultivation & helps in marketing

Jatropha cultivation The organization promotes Jatropha cultivation all over world to empower rural Indian farmers

through commercial, renewable and sustainable Jatropha farming. We promote Jatropha

cultivation by assisting farmers in planting, buying the seeds for refining and providing the

refining technology to enable growers to make their own biodiesel. We will also provide the

necessary labor inputs for the plantation establishment and maintenance while complying with

all the permitting requirements from appropriate government agencies.

We are undertaking the pioneering work of promoting jatropha plantation - the promising biofuel

crop on a large scale on wastelands/farm land in Rajasthan as well as across the country.

The organisation undertakes total consultancy in the bio-diesel production through Jatropha

plantation, its promotion & its training, extraction of oil, setting up of bio-diesel plants and

finally marketing through networks to nationally & internationally

Activities & Achievements

HCMS benefited 400 farmers by promoting jatropha cultivation on waste land and

available them market all over Rajasthan mainly Udaipur

HCMS already export 500 metric tones seeds to universities & bio- fuel companies

Model nursery of Jatropha saplings in 2 acres at bassi is under process

For research purpose we supplied 100 metric tones jatropha seeds to IIT Khargpur,

MNIT, Vinayak Traders, OPRA Bio Diesel etc.

Promoted 100 acres of Land by combination of food crops and Jatropha is a “condition

sine qua non” for smallholder farmers & by placing Jatropha fences around their fields

with vegetables for more livelihood to farmers

To start with, has already promoted Jatropha plantations in 50 acres with the financial

support of seeds & saplings in Churu, Banswara, Jaipur &Swai Madhopur districts. In 5

villages, HCMS identified 500 interested and small & marginal farmers for raising

their farming with proper agri solutions, also with best fertilization methods and Marketing tie

up. Presently 20 volunteers are working with us in the said field.

Organic farming

The organization encourages the practice of organic farming all over India mainly Rajasthan, an

method of farming system which is primarily aimed at cultivating the land and raising crops in

such a way, so as to keep the soil fertile by use of organic wastes (crop, cattle wastes like cow

dung, aquatic wastes) and other biological materials along with beneficial microbes (biofertilizers)

to release nutrients to crops for increasing sustainable production in an eco-friendly pollution

free environment.

The organic agriculture network of the HCMS initiated in the year 2003, after the first ever-

Organic Agriculture workshop held in Lalpura, Bassi of 2 days duration. Here model organic

farm is under processing.

The main aim of the organic agriculture network is to disseminate newer organic agriculture

trends and techniques throughout INDIA. Now we are working on project of 50 acres of land

cultivation with organic farming year-end 2009-2010

In the jaipur & near by region, we found that many farmers were turning away from their

traditional mode of agriculture to modern farming systems ,uses many pesticides & chemicals. As

a result, the soil has lost its fertility and led to massive unemployment and migration to other

states.

Dairy development Programmes

HCMS believes livestock sector has the potential of being the driving force in dairy development being

one of the leading components, there has to be less improvements in overall dairy development

scenario in Rajasthan to face the emerging challenges with well-defined initiatives.

OBJECTIVES

1. To increase milk production via improvements in pasture availability/management, dairy herd management, breeding policies and education/extension services with specialists & professor

2. To be instrumental in helping to improve the facilities relative to the collection, processing and distribution of milk and milk products throughout Rajasthan in keeping with acceptable hygiene and nutritional standards.

3. To achieve full self-sufficiency in milk and milk products in the shortest time possible 4. To provide an alternative and lucrative means of earning for farmers which ultimately

improve nation’s economy

Last 5 years, we did numbers of awareness & promotional programmes for dairy development all over

Rajasthan. HCMS Enhancing milk potential in the numbers of district of Rajasthan through

providing milk enhancing inputs, cattle induction, breed improvement, introducing better cattle

management practices and through providing vital marketing link direct from the doorstep of the

producers.

Livelihood & capacity building

HCMS working for promotion of livelihood economic activities, which includes self-employment

and/or wage employment that enables a person to meet their individual and household

requirements. HCMS capacity building efforts can include a broad range of approaches, e.g.,

granting operating funds, providing training and development sessions, supporting collaboration

with other nonprofits, etc.It also provides facilitation support to organization and their

leadership, staff with grass roots communities.

Under the HAHNEMANN CHARITABLE MISSION SOCIETY number of HRD activities

undertaken during the last couple of years.HCMS, presently work with 10 voluntary members all

over the Rajasthan. HCMS conducted activities to develop a more systematic approach to

livelihood enhancement that assist in uptake of sustainable opportunities

OBJECTIVES

HCMS object is to effectively tackling the unemployment problem of our rural economy

by drastically raising 'employability' through provision of carefully tailored vocational

education that includes technical as well as soft skills.

The society concentrating on the enhancement of income generating activities at the

grassroots level, attention must also given to backward, forward and horizontal

linkages and the development of these linkages as well..

Promoting eco-friendly income generating activities medicinal plants, horticulture,

aromatic, Jatropha cultivation, etc.

APPROACH & ACTIVITIES

HCMS a dedicated team of trainers and experts who organize capacity building training and

awareness programmes from time to time, with a view to reduce out-migration of the rural &

agriculture people and consequent abandonment of the fields.

HCMS persistently making efforts towards developing team facilitate in improving the

HCMS sponsored 25 buffaloes to 10 villagers in Lalpura, Bassi, JAIPUR (Rajasthan) for

generating sustainable livelihood activities with practical survey & training of other

doing dairies for capacity buiding.We will be initiating passing of Gift to more poor,

Target Group –Rural Youth of Age between 18-35 years Brief Detail: In November 2007, HCMS organized a short-term skill development-training programme for livelihoods under Rajasthan Mission on Livelihoods. This 30 day OJT was conducted at Jaipur under the guidance/vigilance of Mr. Atul Gupta, Secretary of HCMS, Jaipur. It commenced on 25/11/07 and completed on 24/12/07. The age limit was 18 to 35 years. The preference given to unemployed and less educated but possessing minimum educational qualification prescribed in the concerned course. The youth was drawn from different nearby villages as par as possible, willing to start livelihood activity in the area of training. The participant should had possessed basic education related to nursery/agriculture like identifying and utilizing the tools and equipments required in nursery, preparing plant rows and manure, sowing seeds and planting sapling, etc. The OJT covered all the essential elements from introduction, sowing of seeds to packaging of the plants and other nursery related issues. The accommodation and other arrangement taken care by the organization. The purpose of organization was to provide a cutting edge to each participant through its instructionally well designed, result oriented training programme. The batch consisted of 30 participants keeping in view that the instructor/trainer can bestow proper time to each and can impart best to best theoretical and practical knowledge/training to him. The completion of the programme trailed by three follow-ups. 2. Under Jaipur Municipal Corporation, Ministry of Food Processing Industries, INDIA. Project- Upgradation of the quality of Street Food Status – This project has been allotted to us recently Target Group- Street Food Vendors of Jaipur City, Rajasthan Brief Detail: A project on “Upgradation of the quality of Street Food” whose core objective is to develop Jaipur as “Safe Food Town”, as per guideline set by Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MFPI).In this project, the unorganized Street Food Vendors will be assess on certain parameters, defined by the ministry and will be further trained by our experts. For this purpose of conducting workshop in order to train these vendors, we have appointed expertise trainers who have sound experience in training. In this workshop, various important issues like upgrading the quality of served food on the street, public health safety and management, food quality

benchmarking, etc will taken.
