• Trenching works underway complete on south side of Eglinton from Avenue to Oriole Pkwy. Still to complete remaining sections on south and north side for full length of station.
• In October 2017, (Oct 10th start) crews will install the system in the centre of the road on Eglinton Aven W from Braemar Ave to Lascelles Blvd. To do this, three of four traffic lanes on Eglinton must be closed.
• To minimize traffic disruption for the community, transit users and local businesses, this work is being done overnight. Paid Duty Police Officers will maintain safe traffic flow.
• Noise can be expected from the use of a pavement saw cutter, a hydrovacuumtruck, and a drilling machine.
• Saw cutting and hydro vaccing work will only occur between 8pm and 12am for first 2 weeks
• Drilling will occur for the following 1-2 weeks between 8pm and 5am however various noise mitigation measures will be but in place to reduce impact.
• Crews will be moving along the roadway from west to east and equipment is expected to change position approximately every 3 days.

Tunnel Backfilling
Prior to mining works, CTS must fill portions of the tunnels with concrete, this involves drilling from the surface all the way to the TBM tunnels. There are two separate phases to this work.
Phase 1 – Drilling Bore Holes • First the holes will be drilled into the roadway and down into the tunnels in two different
areas: – South side of Eglinton, just east of Highbourne Avenue. – South side of Eglinton, just west of Avenue Road.
• A work zone will be set up around these two areas and will remain in place while drilling work happens (approximately 2 weeks for each area).
• Drilling work will occur between 7:00AM and 11:00PM. • The holes will then be covered with steel plates until the second step of concrete pouring
occurs.
Phase 2 – Concrete Pouring • Crews will complete the concrete pours one area at a time. • Each area will take approximately 2 weeks to complete the concrete pouring. • A work zone will be set up around the concrete trucks as they pour, and it will be taken down
nightly. • Concrete pour work will occur between 7:00AM and 11:00PM. • During the pouring phase, there will be an increase truck flow to deliver the concrete to the
site. • Once the concrete pouring is complete the roadway holes will be filled and restored.

October Overnight Wet Utilities Work
• Diversions of the existing combined sanitary sewer connections along Eglinton Ave W are
required while crews install the new sanitary sewer infrastructure.
• Diversion work involves cutting into the existing combined sanitary sewer and pumping the
waste water while the new infrastructure is installed.
• Rationale for overnight work:
– Performing when use of the sanitary system is lighter will expedite the activity
– Will minimize the public’s exposure to odor of sewage when existing sanitary pipes are cut
– Reduces sewage flow will improve safety conditions for workers
• Equipment to be used overnight includes excavators, trucks, skid steers and site lighting
• Dates: Work will take place between mid-October and mid-January 2018, with
approximately 15 days of overnight work
• Hours: preparatory works (concrete removal, hydro-vacuuming, etc.) from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00
p.m.; diversion work (cutting pipes, excavation, hauling, etc.) from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
