Natural Resources are materials found in nature that people can use.

Water is a natural resource.

Soil is a natural resource.

Trees are a natural resource.

Oil and Natural Gas are important Natural Resouces

Natural Gas

Oil and Natural Gas can be burned to produce heat, light, and other forms of energy

Wood, oil and natural gas are examples of scarce natural resources.

Scarcity

Scarcity is a shortage of something, not enough to meet people’s needs.

Salt is an example of an abundant natural resource.

Abundant means a large supply, more than enough.

Conserve means to use carefully.
