Australia is a beautiful country. From its
waterfalls, coral reefs, and unique plant/animal
life, about 8 million people visited a ustralia this
past year. One of its famous
attractions is Sydney Opera
House.Each year about 2500 shows are hosted here.
The president is Tony Abbott. Australia’s National Anthem is called
"Advance Australia Fair" and has five verses. Here’s a quote from
verse one: “Australians all let us rejoice For we are young and free We've golden soil
and wealth for toil Our home is girt by sea Our land abounds in nature's gifts Of beauty
rich and rare”.
Qatar is the richest country in the world. Its oil industry makes up for
85% of the country's export earnings. As of 2013, the country has a
population of 2.169 million. The country is surrounded by the Arabian
Sea, and is one of the most peaceful
countries in the world.
One of Qatar’s famous monuments is the “Rise Through Education” monument in Doha,
Qatar. It was finished on March 8, 2012, and designed by Lorenzo Quinn. Qatar’s
National Anthem is called asSalām alAmīrī. A quote from Qatar's national anthem is
“Qatar will always be free, Elevated by the spirits of the loyal, Follow the path of the
ancestors, And the prophet's guidance. In my heart, Qatar is an epic of dignity and
glory”. The language of Qatar is Arabic, but many people speak English as well.
Britain’s Population is 64.1 million as of 2013. In 2015 36.115 people visited the great
country. Britain’s national anthem was
composed by Thomas Arne. Here’s a quote
from their National anthem “. “God save our
gracious Queen ! Long live our noble Queen!
God save the Queen! Send her victorious,
Happy and glorious, Long to reign over us,
God save the Queen. O Lord our God arise, Scatter her enemies
And make them fall; Confound their politics, Frustrate their knavish tricks, On Thee our
hopes we fix, God save us all!
The monument is 25 metres high. The central monument, created between 1906 and
1924, is by Sir Thomas Brock, but the whole design, including the Memorial Gardens,
was conceived by Sir Aston Webb. The Memorial was formally unveiled by King George
V in 1911.
