• provided specific information about various majors in science and engineering to students

– For Parents• suggested resources, ideas, and advices to assist parents

in guiding their children through post-secondary academic and career preparation

introduce many scholarships and Korea visiting program by KSEA

KSEA MN Korean Students Career Workshop

Date: 09/25/2010 The goal

– connect professionals with students, – promote importance of social networking such as KSEA

to students, – help students know about nature of different jobs.

Keynote speakers – Hak Cheol Shin,

• the executive vice president of 3M who started his career in 3M-Korea

– and later taken second highest position in 3M-USA,

– Dennis Kim, • the president of a small, but extremely successful start

up company,– received Entrepreneurship Award in the Minnesota,

Keynote speakers – SK Juhn, senior professor in the medical school, each of

whom talked about their success stories in industry, entrepreneurship, and academia.

– Eight professionals from different industry introduce their company followed by panels on life in industry and life in academia.

Membership– More than 130 students have registered resulting in

10 regular, 26 graduate, and 23 undergrad KSEA membership renewal/registration.

– Feedbacks from students were all positive
