    Hi,

I have 2 questions for copying PR in iProcurement.

1.Can the charge account be defaulted as the source PR?

2.How does the default charge account of new PR derive?

Thanks in advance for your help.Best Regards,

    Hi,

The standard functionality of copying requisition is:

The system tries to generate an account.

If it is successful to generate a valid account then populates all the accounting information accordingly.

If the system is not able to generate the account, it takes the favorite charge account.

If no favorite charge account is present, the system merely copies the old requisition accounting information. When you continue to checkout

and try to submit the requisition, it validates all the fields.

If any of the information is invalid it prompts the preparer to change the corresponding field.

In any case, its made sure that the req is submitted with all valid information.

Enhancement request Bug 7651591LIMITATIONS IN THE COPY FUNCTION THAT AFFECT CHARGE ACCOUNT is logged to ensure that the

    charge account is only

regenerated if it is actually invalid.

The copy requisition functionality within iProcurement tries to copy the existing requisition line details and two cases then can occur:

    .

    Scenario 1

    -----------

    .

If all the line detail information is valid, the charge account is copied from the existing requisition.

    .

    Scenario 2

    ----------

    .

If not all of the line detail information is valid, then the charge account is re-generated.

    .

Hence where the GL date of the original requisition is different to the current accounting period, the charge account is regenerated.

Charge account also gets re generated when requisition creation date and encumbrance year are different

The above is explained in the note "Charge Account Re-Generation Conditions When Copy To Cart [ID 760514.1]"
