Your path to the CISIM (Wealth Management)

NB. We recommend that you only book and sit for one unit at a time.

The CISIM (Wealth Management) Programme is structured in 3 units, as shown in the diagram below. Delegates must pass all three papers to gain the CISIM (Wealth Management) qualification. It is recommended that you study Financial Markets first, followed by Portfolio Construction Theory and then Applied Wealth Management.

The CISIM (Wealth Management) Programme is the first career pathway to be launched as part of the CISI Masters Programme (CISIM). Developed in conjunction with leading industry practitioners, it’s a flagship professional level qualification and represents the natural evolution of the existing CISI Diploma for wealth managers, private client managers and IFA’s. It links aspects from existing CISI Diploma modules into a package that offers wealth management firms and practitioners a dedicated professional qualification.

The CISIM (Wealth Management) Programme is split into three sequential units:

Financial Markets – focuses on the environment in which wealth management operates. The unit is broken down into the following syllabus areas:

Economics and Interpretation of Economic Statistics

ExemptionsYou must complete all three units to obtain the CISIM (Wealth Management) qualification. However, an exemption is initially available for the Financial Markets unit if you’ve successfully completed Investment Analysis or Interpretation of Financial Statements from the existing CISI Diploma qualification, enabling you to move straight on to Portfolio Construction Theory.

Although you will achieve the CISIM (Wealth Management) on completion of the three units, candidates will also be able to take any of the CISIM (Wealth Management) modules as part of the existing CISI Diploma.
