+HOWKNOWTHE POWER OF LEARNING BY DOING. Cape Henry utilizes an engaged learning model acknowledged by leading educators as the most effective way to learn. Hands-on, real-world learning experiences connect children to the discovery and joy of learning. They also develop the analytical, social, emotional, and leadership skills essential for success in an increasingly complex and interconnected world.

By learning at an early age how to take personal responsibility and problem solve independently, students develop a self-esteem that energizes all they do and all they aspire to accomplish.

Independent thinkers, doers and leaders, Cape Henry graduates demonstrate the ability to meet challenges, unravel mysteries, and work collaboratively to accomplish goals.

FULFILLING ON THE PROMISE.From their first day of school, Cape Henry is focused on preparing students for today and getting them ready for tomorrow — helping them develop the knowledge, skills and confidence to meet life’s challenges and recognize its opportunities.

Our comprehensive College Counseling program enlists parents, teachers, advisors, counselors, alumni and friends in a collaborative effort devoted to finding not only the best school, but also the best fit for every graduate.

Extensive research, group and individual meetings, and a cooperative team approach seek to provide clarity and direction as our families make their way through the complexities of a competitive college admissions process.

A GUIDING RESOURCE.Staffed by skilled professionals, the Guidance Program works collaboratively with students, faculty and parents to help identify, understand, and meet the needs that naturally arise during each developmental stage.

Our team focuses on total student wellness, helping them learn teamwork, creativity, resilience, curiosity, and time management — skills that build self-esteem, help foster relationships, and will serve students well in all aspects of their lives.
