The ERACC Board of Directors is seeking nominations for its PACE Business of the Year awards to recognize local businesses for outstanding contributions to the Chamber and the community. Collyard Chiropractic celebrated their 15th anniversary in business in September. The practice is led by Dr. Carrie Collyard, who is one of the few female chiropractic and acupuncture practitioners in the area.
Coborn’s of Elk River has been named the Store of the Year for District 2 by their corporate offices. The Elk River store ranked in the top two of the district in nine scoring categories and had the highest employee engagement index, along with the best numbers in sales and labor-to-budget categories. The store was also honored as the 2015 Employer of the Year by ERACC.
Goldenmann Christmas Trees received six awards, ranging from First to Fourth places, for trees and wreaths at the 2016 Minnesota State Fair, including Norway Pine, Colorado Spruce, Fraser Fir, Exotic Trees, and Decorated Wreaths.
Anoka-Ramsey Community College has been named as a top 10 finalist for the 2017 Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence. The $1 million prize is awarded every two years, and recognizes outstanding institutions from over 1,000 community colleges across the nation.
ReNew You Medical Spa and Ness Plastic Surgery of Wayzata have teamed up to bring our community the best in aesthetic and plastic surgery services. Dr. Rolfes, board certified plastic surgeon will now be seeing consultations once per month at ReNew You Medical.
Marlys Ellingson, long-time advertising rep, recently retired from the Star News. Nicole Vadner, previously with the Coon Rapids ECM office, transferred to the Elk River Star News staff as a multimedia sales rep.
