AldehydesQ 0320 A General Method for the Direct α-Arylation of Aldehydes with Aryl Bromides

and Chlorides. — An efficient and general method for the α-arylation of linear and α-branched aldehydes with aryl bromides and chlorides is presented. The axially chiral ligand is varied depending on the choice of aryl bromides or chlorides and depending on the steric bulk of aldehyde.
