Wuhan is the 6th Largest cities in China but it suffers the pain of traffic congestion even at off-peak hour due to rapid urbanization

Metro plan has enforced the solution to the traffic congestion on the road. If a distance needs 80mins travel on road, the metro only takes 30mins

TOD network of light rail and metro, at the end of 2017 ,all 5 routes will be completely operated. The lessons of short route is learned from 1st light rail plan.

It is essential to gain a good access to the public transport. This solution can also reduce the congestion for pedestrian path on the ground.

Further development of TOD: bike and bus stop combined as a pair. Metro and light rail also has bus stop within 5mins on foot.

Traffic congestion problem is not in developing cities but also in less population density and developed cities such as Brisbane.
