On Sunday 27 th September, ten enthusiastic South Bunbury chess players competed in the West Zone Interschool Chess League at Nedlands Primary School in Perth. Each of the competitors played in seven separate rounds of chess against eleven other schools. The timers were set for 20 minutes + 3 seconds per turn. The South Bunbury team lived up to their school values and were respectful of the chess rules and polite to the chess coordinators and other participants. We finished the tournament in 5 th place with 15 points. A fantastic effort for our very first Chess Club interschool tournament! Chess News West Zone Chess League Tournament 2020
