Hartley, is in his second year as the Flames Head Coach after having coached the ZSC Lions to a Swiss League title in Zurich in 2012. Hartley became the head coach of Quebec’s AHL affiliate, the Hershey Bears where he won a Calder Cup title in 1997 after winning theMemorial Cup with Laval Titans in 1993 and two Championships at the helm of the Hawksbury Hawks (CJHL) in 1990 &1991. A season later,Hartley was hired as the Colorado Avalanche bench boss. During his five seasons, the Avalanche won four division titles and made fourappearances in the conference finals. In 2001, Hartley won a division title, a President's Trophy and the Stanley Cup. Hartley’s tenure with theAvalanche franchise ended in December of 2002.
