What is Bullying?
Bullying is a form of aggressive behavior manifested by the use of force orcoercion to afect others, particularly when the behavior is habitual andinvolves an imbalance of power. It can include verbal harassment, physicalassault or coercion and may be directed repeatedly towards particular
victims, perhaps on grounds of race, religion, gender, sexuality, or ability. The "imbalance of power" may be social power and/or physical power. The
victim of bullying is sometimes referred to as a "target". (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bullying)

We are advocating against
Facts
Bullying happens everywhere and can inflict anyone. Whether you arebullied, a bully or a bystander, you are very well involved and
afected. Bullying does not discriminate against race, age, gender, religion,
and sexual preference.
Through education, awareness, and our actions, we hope toextinguish bullying.
The first step towards diminishing bullying is prevention. Initially, wecan prevent bullying from occurring by educating everyone.
Nobody, especially not children, should have to endure bullying. It isa form of harassment and as Early Childhood Educators we willstrongly fight against that

In child care centers, bullying causes pain on the bullied It causes distress on the bystanders (trauma of being exposed to
violence) When someone is bullied, it is not only the bully and victim who are
becoming less sensitive to violence. In most cases, the friends andclassmates of the bully and the victim accept the violence as normal.
