All classes are held at the Parkland Medical Center Nutfield Professional Building, 44 Birch Street, Entrance D (back of building), Suite 102A in Derry. Classes may be cancelled or rescheduled due to inclement weather or at the instructor’s discretion. We will make every attempt to notify you should this happen. It is not necessary to be giving birth at Parkland to participate in these classes — open to all. ADULT, CHILD & INFANT CPR CLASS For anyone who wants to learn CPR but does not need a course completion card. This dynamic, instructor-led course teaches lay-rescuer skills in CPR and relief of choking in adults, children and infants. Facilitated by an AHA certified instructor. $35 SWEET PEA & ME Our focus is on presenting parenting and health information in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Whether this is your first baby or your fifth, you’ll be sure to learn new tips, advice, and support. Facilitated by Family Birthing Center staff. Moms, dads and babies are welcome. Free. No registration required. Meets every Tuesday from 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. FEEDING YOUR NEWBORN Learn about best practices for feeding a newborn. Open to expecting moms from 24-36 weeks into pregnancy, and their partners. Facilitated by a board-certified lactation consultant. Free INFANT MASSAGE This two part class covers infant massage techniques, recognizing infant cues and provides an overview of the benefits of interacting with your new baby via massage. For babies 4 weeks - 6 months. Registration is required. Facilitated by a Certified Infant Massage Instructor. $30 NEWBORN CARE Learn about infant care basics and what to expect the first few hours and days of your baby’s life. Facilitated by a childbirth educator. $35 PREPARING FOR BIRTH SERIES – WEEKNIGHT SERIES Learn the latest recommendations you will need to help you prepare for your baby’s birth.
