Children and Young People’s Plan

It’s all about partnerships!

The new plan will:-

1. Set expectations around the way we work in Worcestershire

2. Clarify the collective ambition and aspirations for all children and young people in Worcestershire

3. Identify key priorities and success measures

4. Provide a framework for all agencies and organisations working with children, young people and families to make the necessary impact to improve lives

5. Build on and add value to existing plans

6. Be fluid and flexible responding to need

In Worcestershire:-1. We listen to, hear and understand children, young people and families

2. We prioritise developing and maintaining quality relationships with children, young people and families and between professionals – doing things with people, instead of to them, for them or doing nothing

3. We work with children, young people and families’ strengths in a solution focused way that promotes individual, family and community self-reliance and resilience

4. We focus on adding value and ask ourselves: How much did we do? How well did we do it? Is anyone better off?

5. We are brave enough to stop things that are wrong and use our collective influence to bring about positive change

Aspirations

If you are a Parent, Carer, or Practitioner living or working in Worcestershire, we want to know what is important to you.

We have set up a short survey, the results will help influence the vision for children and young people in Worcestershire and give everyone living in the county an opportunity to have a voice.
