Harrington Specialist vehicles
Harrington is a British owned and managed company based in Vietnam. They produce many
replacement parts for classic cars. They also restore and collect classic vehicles and are prototyping
electric vehicles and modern hovercraft- with a view to putting these into production.
For the last 9 years Harrington has also been producing their range of hand built junior cars. Whilst
these really were stunning and a lot of fun- they were in essence beautiful go carts. They were very
proud to have their previous models voted “the best Christmas present 2009” by the Times newspaper
UK. Harrington slowly hand produced these and sent them all around the world.
About
In 2009 Harrington decided to develop a new range of models. They felt they could do better. To be
critical of the old models, they lacked suspension, had brakes on the rear only. The engines were rear
mounted and access was limited, they were very heavy, and they were rather cramped for adults to fit
into. The ground clearance was rather limited, and they were single wheel drive….They also fat too
time consuming to produce! They decided to improve exponentially and standardize a lot of the
components across the range to enable them to keep up with demand.
Starting with a blank canvas and having the experience of building and selling their previous models,
they decided to design and build new models and to create the ultimate junior cars without
compromise. Using CAD they designed the chassis and all mechanical components. The resulting cars
are that- no longer are they merely toys- they truly are fully operating small cars!

Specifications
Performance In standard tune the cars reach 44mph (72 km/h). This can be restricted for younger drivers. In modified form speeds in excess of 80 mph (128 km/h) are achievable. This is not something we offer from the factory however: it will be up the owner to tune/ modify. The cars in standard tune use approx. 1.5 litres an hour.

Suspension / Steering Fully independent double wishbone front suspension and fully independent Single wishbone rear suspension. Fixed differential with Rubber donut rear UJ’s (similar to series 1 Lotus Elan). Adjustable gas shock absorbers all round. Vented disks with dual pot Brembo callipers- front and rear. (2 front + single rear giving 66/33 bias braking). Hydraulic split braking system with twin outlet master cylinder. Rack and pinion centre mount steering rack L<3.5>R Easily adjustable gearing with central mounted lay axles.
Body, Interior & Trim Fully adjustable pedal box, suitable for drivers from the age of 6 - 80! Even 6 ft. + drivers can fit. Removable/replaceable exhaust silencer. The entire car is fully serviceable without the need for major strip down. The body is bolted to the chassis in 12 places. The body/ floor consist of 10 separate parts. All GRP composite. Electronic 12 volt ignition/ electric start. Working lights, horn, indicators. Rear mounted safety gas tank with external pump. Rear mounted battery/ fuse box and optional spare wheel for optimum weight distribution. The exterior is painted in automotive Du Pont paint, and can be finished in any colour of choice. We just need a Du Pont colour code. The floor is colour impregnated black GRP. The bonnet and boot open with latch mechanisms in the cockpit.

Frequently Asked Questions
Warranty We offer a one year parts warranty to all customers from delivery to the distributor. If there is a failure outside of that time, we will endeavour to fix it if we can. We will cover any manufacturing problems and failure of any parts. We are unable to cover: - Paint scratches or damage that occur after acceptance of the car - Damage due to wear and tear / Crash damage - Problems caused by poor maintenance - Anything on a car which has been modified from its original specification. We reserve the right to call up for inspection of the vehicle and judge the cause of the problem before committing to any warranty claims.
Lead time This will depend on the order backlog. Once the schedule is clear, typically a car will take 16 weeks to build and deliver.

Payment Terms A 50 % deposit is required when an order is placed and the cars are specified. The final 50 % payment is required when the cars are dispatched. Payment is required by bank transfer.
