General Information Welcome to our Children’s After School Music and Leisure classes for 2011. Administered by Auckland Normal Intermediate School, these classes offer your children a wealth of enjoyable, educational and challenging activities for after school participation. The programme is aimed at 6 –13 year olds from our local community. It is subsidised by the Ministry of Education and follows the New Zealand curriculum guidelines. Tutors Our tutors are well qualified to meet your child’s needs. As professionals they take

their role seriously and work hard to ensure programmes are taught to a high standard. Please feel free to make contact with them after class or by email. We request that parents do not wait in classrooms during lessons as this can make some children nervous. Group Tuition Lessons are taught in small groups which not only lowers the cost of tuition but also provides a supportive framework for students as they learn together. The size of the class will vary between 4 and 8 students depending on the instrument (if a music class) or type of activity (if a leisure class).

Parents Role It is vital that parents work in partnership with the tutor. Encouragement at home to do follow up or practice activities is encouraged. Attendance at lessons is also important, so please ensure your children turn up on time and with the correct equipment. Please note that the school (ANI) does not have teachers doing after school supervision or duty. Stationery and Instrument Hire Your tutor will advise you if any text books or music manuals are required for your class. These can be purchased from local music stores. Programme Overview

At times we do get busy so please bear with us if we can not attend to your request immediately. Fees All fees are inclusive of GST. Your fee covers tuition costs. It does not cover book resources, music instrument hire or transport costs to and from Auckland Normal Intermediate School. And finally, we do hope you enjoy your time with us and benefit from the

How to Enrol

Complete an enrolment form, one page for each child. Enclose a cheque (payable to Auckland Normal Intermediate School) or fill in the credit card details. Alternatively you can call into the office and pay by credit, eftpos or cash. Please note that we cannot accept an enrolment or reserve a place without the full payment of fees.

● Once you enrol and pay your fee you will be accepted into the course. ● You will only be contacted if a class is cancelled or if there are no places available.

● Meet at school reception (two stored building) on the first day of your class. A map will be provided to show you where your class will be held.

Our Refund Policy If, for some reason a class is cancelled before the start date, we will notify you and send you a full refund. Half refund if you withdraw no less than 5 working days before a class starts. No refunds once the course is underway. Transfers may be authorised if a place is available. $20 administration fee per transfer. This Programme is accurate at the time of print.
