learning so much with all the Two’s!”

This month is going to be super fun, full of

lots of learning and love. We will continue work-

ing on our letters and the sounds they make.

We will continue to learn all about traveling!

This is a good month to learn a new character

value, Loyalty. All of our friends are doing great

remembering our school rules and we are so ex-

cited to continue using the potty and saying

goodbye to our diapers! The children are ener-

getic and independent and ready to take on new

adventures!

Wow, we can’t believe how fast 2018 is going al-

ready! It’s already February and the children are doing a

superb job with C.A.R.E.S. We would like to wish everyone

a Happy Valentine’s Day, and just say how excited we are

to have such wonderful children in our class.

This month our focus is going to be Transporta-

tion and Outer Space. Our character Value is loyalty.

This month we have so many things to celebrate

and a lot of fun activities planned. We would like to thank

all of our parents for being so supportive in everything we

do! Thank you so much!

This month we get to start learning about Trans-

portation and Outer Space. We will focus on our

blends as well as our reading groups. We have

the greatest parents and we would like to thank

you all for being so wonderful. Thank you for all

For the safety of your child… Please keep your child’s records updated at all times. We have passed out

recent reminders of forms that we still may need. This includes any changes

to telephone numbers, address, place of employment , emergency contacts,

doctor, and hospital information. If you are not sure that your records are

current, please stop by the front desk to review your files. This also goes for

your child’s immunization record. Every time your child gets immunizations

you are required to bring us updated shot information. We can make copies

for you. Thank you for paying attention to this important detail.

Medication... Any medication, prescribed by the doctor or over-the-counter, must be signed in at the

front desk each day! Medication may not be left at the center over the weekend. If you

bring in an over-the-counter medication, we can only give your child the recommended

dosage unless the doctor has recommended a different dosage in writing. Also, if your

child’s age is not listed on the medication, we cannot administer the medication without

a doctor’s note. We must have this written recommendation before we can administer

the medication.

Welcome February– The month of LOVE!

I hope you know how much we love hav-

ing you and your children as part of our Light-

house family.

As you're all aware, we have been very

busy freshening the school up with new paint

and room configurations, and we want to thank

you all so much for your patience as we wrap

these changes up! We are very excited to have

clean fresh painted walls and we are even more

excited to see the difference in your children’s

learning with the presence of more white

space. Recent studies have shown that simpli-

fied room configurations contribute to a suc-

cessful learning environment for children,

which is why we've streamlined the rooms a

bit. We know these changes are new and will

take some time getting used to but we are so

excited to roll out this new approach to learn-

ing in a way that truly supports the children in

setting them up for success!
