DESCRIPTION

This is a Word of Life Quiet Time diary designed for children in the 5th and 6th grades. The file here is only a sample but the book contains 365 days of scripture reading with activities and questions to help children understand and apply God's Word. Also included are prayer journal pages as well as multiple other scripture reading plans you can choose from. All versions of the Word of Life Quiet Time diary follow the same reading plan so you, your children's ministry, your church, and your family can all share thoughts from the same passage of scripture throughout each age group.

Quiet Time is a special time that you set aside each day to read God’s Word to get to know Him better and to learn how He wants you to live. During this time, God speaks to you through His Holy Word the Bible and you speak to God through prayer. As a Christian, spending this time everyday is very important for you to grow closer to God. The Champion Quiet Time will help you have a special time each day with the Lord. This booklet is divided into two sections. A Personal Prayer Diary section where you can write prayer requests to remind yourself to pray for

people that you care about and things that are happening. The second section is the Quiet Time Activity Pages. Activities are written from the Bible verses for each day of the year to challenge you to understand the truths from God’s Word. The Champion Quiet Time and the Teen/Adult Quiet Time use the same Scriptures for the week. This makes it easier for your whole family to discuss the passages together.

Keeping a Personal Prayer Diary is a great way to remind yourself to pray for specific people and things. It also reminds you to thank God and to tell others when He answers your prayers.

Your prayer time should include praying for friends and family. Especially pray for those who don’t know Christ as their Savior.

You should also pray for your Christian friends, your relatives and yourself. Pray that you will grow in your Christian life and become what God wants you to be.

Get to know missionaries who serve the Lord in your area or around the world. Ask them for specific prayer requests. Write these on your prayer pages.

Much of your prayer time should be used thanking and praising God. Tell God that you are thankful for your salvation, parents, home, friends, and answers to prayers. You should praise God for His beautiful creation, His holiness and His greatness.

Some prayer time should include asking God to meet needs such as clothing, food or maybe a job for your dad. Maybe you could ask God to help you be more obedient. You must be careful not to be selfish and ask for things that you want only for you. As you are obedient to God, He will care for your needs.

Daily prayer requests are those things that you pray for each day. Maybe someone

in your family will be traveling one day and you ask God to protect them as they

travel. For each request, write the date that you started praying for it and how God

answered your prayer.

Prayer Requests

The Weekly Prayer Request Chart can be used to remind you to pray for specific requests either once a week or more often. Write down the names of friends and family members. Don’t forget to include those that need to be saved. Put the names of your church

leaders and missionaries that you know so that you can remember to pray for them as well. For each request, write the date that you started praying and how God answered your prayer.
