Chengde Parade, Cultural Exchange, and visit to the Emperor’s Mountain

Resort and Imperial Garden

Breakfast, and then rehearsal at the Qianyang Hotel in Chengde

Arrival at the Chengde Teachers University. Note that there is a lot of new construction, including the stadium.

There were bands from Arizona and New Hampshire there, as well as the Chengde Teachers College band.

Cultural Exchange with Chinese Students

This was a trip highlight. The kids gave each other a taste of each other’s culture by singing songs, demonstrating skills, playing games and even exchanging a few email addresses. Everyone thought this was an outstanding event.
