From humble beginnings in the 1980s, the musical dialogue bet-ween Germany and China has been developing rapidly for several years now – and not just in classical music. Now Hamburg’s Reeperbahn Festival is set to be an export hit in China – with the Reeperbahn Campus and concerts in Shanghai clubs during the EXPO.

The Reeperbahn Campus was successfully started in 2009 and this year provides a platform for representatives from the international music and creative industry to discuss current trends in the Chi-nese music scene and social media networks, and also the legal aspects of German bands appearing in China.

What’s special is that the Reeperbahn Campus will also be taking place in the Hamburg House at the EXPO in Shanghai on 7 and 8 October, in cooperation with Goethe Institute Munich. The Reeperbahn Festival has also been at the EXPO – for the first time in China. The Hamburg band Revolverheld, Kissogram from Berlin and the Chinese formation Tian played at the Mao Livehouse on 2 June 2010.

汉堡绳索道音乐节专题会议是德国音乐与创意产业新的行业平台. 在不寻常的地方，有趣的议题小组和跨公司交流的新形式与唱片产业、现场娱乐、互动媒体行业开展约30项活动。使得汉堡绳索道音乐节专题会议成为北欧的创意产业的所有专业人士的新装置。在2010年“中国时代”期间，来自中德音乐与创意产业代表人士在将于 9 月 23 日至 25 日就中国音乐及创意产业的最走势、社交网络媒体以及有关乐队演出所涉及的法律问题等开展讨论.而特殊之处是：汉堡绳索道音乐专题会议这一平台将与歌德学院合作，并将与10 月 7 日和 8 日在世博会“汉堡之家”续会。同时,“ 汉堡绳索道音乐节”也在世博会并是首次在中国举办音乐演出活动.如: 2010 年 6 月 2 日，来自汉堡的乐队 Revolverheld、来自柏林的 Kissogram乐队，以及中国乐队“甜蜜的孩子”在上海 MaoLivehouse 登台表演。

matHiaS FriCK worked from 1999 to 2004,- after his studies of Architecture (TU Berlin) and movie direction

(University of Bristol)-, as a freelance designer and film director in London. After his return to Berlin, Mathias Frick founded the film production company, „film moment“. In 2007, he produced the documentary „Beijing 798“, which tells the story of a factory area then converted to the Creative garden N° 798. In spring 2010, Mathias Frick, produced a TV coverage about the Expo 2010 in Shanghai for the account of ARTE Metropolis.
