PRE-LIMINARY ENTRY / REGISTRATION due by 31st July 2019.

1. INTRODUCTION:

The 19th ASIANIA Parachuting Championships consists of the following:

• 19th ASIANIA Parachuting Championships and • CHINA Open 2019

The event is governed under the auspices of the ASIANIA Parachuting Federation. FAI Sporting Code 2019 (General Section, Sporting Code Section 5 and Competition Rules) will be applied.

2. AIMS OF THE 19th ASIANIA Parachuting Championships &

CHINA Open 2019:

• To determine the ASIANIA parachuting champions (including Juniors). • To create new ASIANIA parachuting records (including Juniors). • To promote the development of parachuting in ASIANIA areas.

• To exchange experience and strengthen friendly relations between the sport • parachutists of all ASIANIA members. • To allow participants to share and exchange experience, knowledge and information.

3. ORGANIZERS: The Competition is organized by ASFC (Aero Sports Federation of China) and the local government of Jingmen city, Hubei Province and under the control of the ASIANIA Parachuting Federation.

5. PERIOD OF EVENT:

1st - 10th November 2019 (arrival and departure dates included)

6. LOCATION: • The ZHANGHE AIRPORT is adjacent to Zhanghe reservoir, approximately 19 kilometers away from downtown, west of Jingmen City, which is located in the midst of Hubei Province, neighboring Jingzhou, Xiangyang, Yichang cities within the province. At present, The ZHANGHE AIRPORT has 100,000 square meters of parking apron, 4,300 square meters of Aerial integrated building, 14,000 square meters of hangar, 1,300 square meters of control tower; It is the only amphibious airport in China with two land runways (1800m x 45m, 800m x 30m) and one water runways (3000m x 200m).

• The competition site is located at the east side of the ZHANGHE AIRPORT, approximately 500 meters away from the runway. The landing area are covered by grass, includes the main landing area and the alternate landing area. The main landing area is 300 meters in diameter, with a circular precision landing area of 30 meters in diameter and three Canopy Piloting slides of 50 meters x 25 meters x 2 meters. The alternate landing area is located at the west side of the main landing area, 150 meters away from the main landing area, with an open terrain and obvious landmarks; It is the second landing area to ensure the safety of skydiving.

(Aerial View) b) Airspace: The ZHANGHE AIRPORT in Jingmen has opened 4 low-altitude tourism training routes and 2 low-altitude training tourism airspace. We hosted the 2017 National Skydiving Championship and the 2018 National Skydiving Championship.

7. ACCOMODATION

: a) Drop Zone:

• Apartment: located in the northeast of the main landing area, the distance is about 100 meters.66 standard rooms, 11 four-bed rooms, 9 three-bed rooms inside the three-story apartment. Each room have a bathroom. • Caravan: Rv campsite is located at east of the main landing area. There are 22 caravans, including 5 Multiple bunk-bed rooms, which can accommodate up to 5 people and 17 single rooms. Each caravan has a bathroom.

b) Hotel: Hubei Planet International Hotel, the best hotel in the city, there are shops, restaurants and other public facilities all in close proximity. It is 15 kilometers away and need takes 20 minutes to the competition site by shuttle bus.

C) Meals: The restaurant is close to the landing area; the distance is about 100 meters. Breakfast, Lunch and Diner are served as buffet at the restaurant.

8. TRANSPORTATION (more detailed information next Bulletin 2) JINGMEN City is located in the central- south area of China, in the center of Hubei Province. JINGMEN City is 1194 kilometers away from Beijing, 1056 kilometers away from Shanghai, 1178 kilometers away from Shenzhen, 1064 kilometers away from Guangzhou, 240 kilometers away from Wuhan, 100 kilometers away from Yichang, 70 kilometers away from Jingzhou.

a) Airplane: Take international direct flights to Wuhan Tianhe International Airport or take international flights to Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen etc. and transfer to the Wuhan Tianhe International Airport or Yichang Sanxia Airport. b) China Railway High-speed (CRH): If you wish to experience CRH, you can find CHR between Wuhan, Yichang, Jingzhou and several important cities. c) Train: Arrived in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Wuhan, Yichang etc. and transfer to Jingmen Railway Station. It is about 15 kilometers away from the competition site. The organizer will provide pick-up service at Wuhan Tianhe International Airport, Yichang Sanxia Airport, Wuhan High-speed Railway Station, Yichang High-speed Railway Station, Jingzhou High-speed Railway Station and Jingmen Railway Station.

11. JUDGING a) Judge Conference: November 1st to 2nd 2019 Commencing at 9 a.m. on the 1st November and continuing through 2nd November. All judges are expected to attend if they wish to be considered for the Official panels. b) Judging Equipment: Style and Accuracy: Weckbecker AMD system and Ground to Air Video CF and FS: “InTime” system

c) Videographers: IMPORTANT FS and CF Videographer - Teams will be required to provide or organize to have their own video camera person. If there are problems with this please advise Organizer as soon as possible. All video equipment must deliver a High Definition 1080 type digital signal with a minimum frame rate of 25 frames per second, through a memory card (minimum class 10). The videographer is responsible for ensuring the compatibility of the freefall video equipment with the scoring system.

12. AIRCRAFT Exit speed for all aircraft will be 70 knots, + - 5 knots.

13. WEATHER CONDITION - Average Temperature in October is 14.48-22.81 degrees Celsius (58.04-73.06

degrees Fahrenheit). - Average Temperature in November is 8.5-16.27 degrees Celsius (47.3-61.28 degrees

Fahrenheit). - Average Wind Speed is 2-3 meters per second.

14. ENTRY FEES ASIANIA MEMBERS: $ 600 USD per competitor (includes one category). $ 500 USD per person for delegation members and accompanying personnel. An additional fee of $ 50 USD may be added per competitor competing in more than one Category. NON ASIANIA MEMBERS: $ 650 USD per competitor (includes one category) $ 550 USD per person for delegation members and accompanying personnel. An additional fee of $ 50 USD may be added per competitor competing in more than one Category. Categories are: 1) Freefall Style and Accuracy 2) 4-Way Formation Skydiving (4-way Open and Female) 3) Canopy Formation (2 & 4-way Sequential, 4-way Sequential)

A) Entry Fees will cover: 1. Accommodation: 1st - 10th November; 2. Meals: From dinner of November 1st to breakfast of November 10th; 3. Transportation: From Airport, High-speed Railway station, Railway station to

accommodation and return.; 4. Transportation: From Hotel to DZ and return during the contest days; 5. Competition jumps and one Orientation Jump; 6. Welcome and farewell banquets; 7. Souvenirs NOTE: Entry Fees can be paid at registration without any late charge fee (requires prior arrangement with organizers).

NOTE: Only US Dollars can be accepted when bank transfer.

15. ELIGIBILITY TO COMPETE: 19th ASIANIA Parachuting Championships: is open to Countries/Regions that are current financial members of the ASIANIA Parachute Federation and FAI. China International Parachuting Open 2019: is open to ASIANIA members and non ASIANIA countries. Country must be a current member of the FAI. Guest Only: Teams that are not current members are very welcome to participate in a “Guest Only” status but will not be eligible for official placings or awards.

18. PRE-COMPETITION TRAINING JUMPS

a) Location: Training area is the same site as the 19th ASIANIA Parachuting Championships. Training facilities will be available to teams prior to the competition.

b) Aircraft: - 2 x P750 XSTOL, 15 slots, left door, with handle for FS. - 1 x P-6, 10 slots, right door, with handle for FS. - 2 x AN2, 10 slots, left door.

c) Jump Cost: - Accuracy: USD 25 (1000m). - Style/2CF: USD 30 (2200m). - 4CF/FS: USD 40 (2500m-3050m).

19. SAFETY REQUIREMENTS: The height of opening the parachute must be at least 700 meters AGL; Jumpers must wear helmet during the jumping; Ram Air main and Ram Air reserve; Altimeter alarm is mandatory for FS and CF, AAD is recommended for all events.

20. INSURANCE:

Every jumper must have the life insurance of the year; The third-party insurance will be organized by the event organizer; Please contact the organizer if the participant does not have life insurance.

21. VISA INFORMATION: See Page15 for Visa Details If any team will require a VISA to come to China, please send the Entry Form and each participant’s passport information WITH COPY OF PASSPORT PAGE (page with photo) to the Organizer AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE BEFORE 31st JULY 2019 We will then send the Visa Application Invitation Letter to you as required. Please Note: Passport Expiry date must be valid for at least 6 months from the time you enter China.

22. NATIONAL/REGIONAL FLAG AND ANTHEM:

Each participating team is kindly asked to bring 2 (two) national/regional flags and CD/USB flash disc of their National Anthem.

23. AWARDS: TROPHIES AND MEDALS will be awarded separately for the: • 19th ASIANIA Parachuting Championships.
