nationwide average. Among foreign-funded enterprises and HK, Macau and Taiwan-funded enterprises in following major distribution areas, thoseenterprises in Shanghai realized the highest rate of return on assets, and those in Jiangsu, Guangdong achieved the lowest ROAs. Those foreign-

funded and HK, Macau and Taiwan-funded enterprises in Shanghai realized a ROA of 6.7% in 2010, 0.7% higher than the nationwide average,1.9% higher than that of nationwide average of all foreign-funded and HK, Macau and Taiwan-funded enterprises.
