Having Fun While Making Money in China & Vietnam

2

As a CEO CLUB member, we want to facili-tate your opportunities to do business (It’s our primary purpose) with our Chinese and Vietnamese members. Many of our previous adventurers are now doing business with new found partners.

We will be launching two new chapters in Vietnam. Our delegation will be guests of both of the governments and accorded many extra courtesies. The Chinese govern-ment knows us well and subsidizes a signifi-cant portion of our expenses. Hence, these prices are subsidized. We will travel as the five hundred (500) previous CEO CLUB mem-ber have experienced on a dozen earlier vis-its; “one step above luxury”.

We will be visiting oceanfront cities in China, all with spectacular beaches and we want to arrange a swim in each city. The city of Fuzhou (Fujian) has views of Taiwan from our hotel window and from Beihai’s hotel window you can see Vietnam.

This is a unique trip arranged by CEO CLUB founder, Dr Joseph Mancuso, during his trip to China over the Christmas holidays.

It can’t be compared to our other dozen vis-its as we have never been to any of these lo-cations, except Beijing.

The CEO Clubs will open new chapters in Fuzhou, China and Hanoi and Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) (HCMC) in Vietnam. We will meet new business partners and government leaders by day and have fun in the evenings.

AN INTENSE 2 WEEKS IN ASIA!!!

We pay three airfares in China plus one boat trip and one airfare in Viet-

nam. First class air and suites are available at an extra charge of 15%.

We will see real China not just westernized Beijing, where the prices are much lower and local CEOs are seeking partners. But we will have the same unique opportunity to meet other CEOs and do business.

We have not detailed all the planned activities, even in Beijing, but everyday we begin with breakfast together and work into the night “making money and having fun”.

Several delegations from other countries, India, Philippines, UAE (Dubai), Singapore and Malaysia will join us.

It will be a multi-cultural experience, as the Chinese founder of Crystal Windows and Doors (Thomas Chen) and the founder of the Asian American Chamber (Donald Chen) will be along with their delegations.

WE WILL SAIL FROM CHINA TO VIETNAM ON A FIVE STAR OVERNIGHT CRUISE SHIP

3

The Mayor of Beihai China and his delegation will sail with us from Beihai to Halong Vietnam and then we will take a four hour bus to our first stop in Vietnam, Hanoi.

The luxury boat has a casino and Broadway plays and we will all have private cabins for two people.

We plan to meet the newly forming CEO CLUB chapters in both Hanoi and HCMC (Saigon). We hope to meet Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung of Vietnam, who is re-sponsible for foreign partnerships.

We begin in Beijing and we will visit the Great Wall and the Forbidden City and the Olympic Village. The new gigantic Beijing airport in and of itself is a site to see. The newly constructed highway from the airport to downtown made the crowds manageable for the 2008 Olympics. Our friend, Mayor Han of Beijing will ar-range government sponsored facilities tours with po-lice escorts to view all the Olympic sites. We will tour the Bird Cage and the huge Olympic Hall housing the models of all the con-

struction. It will take more than a full day to visit the newly con-structed Olympic sites when they are empty. We have so many friends in Beijing who want us to see them that this is a city where we could spend 14 days.

YOUR DESTINATIONS BEIJING :: DAYS 1 & 2

WENDENG :: DAYS 3 & 4

Wendeng is located at the eastern tip of Shandong peninsula. Its land area is 1,645 square kilometers and the coastal line is 156 kilometers. Besides, Wendeng is located in the connection of Qingdao (this is the home of the famous Chinese beer of the same name), Yantai and Weihai. Bordering the sea and surrounded by boundless mountains,

Wendeng faces to the Republic of Korea and Japan across the Yellow sea. From your hotel window in Wendeng you can see Korea. It has the most hot spring spas in China both in-door and out door. It will be a memory maker here in “SPA City”. This city will visit the USA in March and you will have a chance to meet these government officials. We will stay at the Kunlyu Hotel in Wendeng .

Fuzhou is the home of manufacturers of shoes, and textiles and electronic products. It faces Taiwan and has a ferry service and fre-quent exchanges between these two countries. It is a great place to shop as prices are the best in China and they do not receive the Americans who travel to Shenzhen, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Bei-jing. Fou-Tcheou; also seen as Foochow, Fuchow, Fuh-chau or Hokchew in earlier Western documents is the capital and the largest prefecture-level city of Fujian (福建) province,

People's Republic of China. It is also referred to as Rongcheng (榕城) which means "city of banyan trees." It is the capital of the province, and is situated on the north bank of the estu-ary of Fujian's largest river, the Min River, which gives access to the interior and to the neighboring provinces of Jiangxi and Zhejiang. We will stay at the Shangri La hotel in Fuzhou. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fuzhou

YOUR DESTINATIONS FUZHOU :: DAYS 5 & 6

BEIHAI :: DAYS 7 & 8

The city of Beihai is located at the southern end of Guangxi and on the northeastern bank of Beibu Gulf. The whole city is surrounded by the sea on the south, north and west side. It has two islands, Weizhou (24.74square kilometers) and Xieyang (1.8 square kilome-ters) . Weizhou is about 20.2 nautical miles away from the city. Beihai has the best sandy beaches in China and the weather is always sum-mer. We will establish a new chapter of www.ceoclubs.org in this city and we will have an evening dinner where you will

meet future CEO CLUB members. These launchings provide optimal opportu-nities for finding business partners. We will have a formal dinner and each member will be introduced to optimize your business contacts. Beihai enjoys a good geographical location. Backed by the great southwest regions (Yunnan, Guizhou, Sicuan provinces) of China, facing Hainan prov-ince across the sea, it is the center of the great southwest regions, Hainan and the Southeast Asia, with cities of the Southeast Asia close by. It covers a total area of 3,337 square kilometers, of which the city proper accounts for 957 square kilometers. We will stay at the Shangri La Hotel.

CRUISE TO HALONG BAY, VIETNAM :: DAY 9

HANOI, VIETNAM :: DAYS 10 & 11 The Hồ Chí Minh Mausoleum (Vietnamese: Lăng Hồ Chí Minh) is a large memorial to the Vietnamese leader. It is located in Ba Ðình Square in Hà Nội and was modeled after Lenin's Mau-soleum. Ho Chi Minh's body is preserved here and the mauso-leum is open for people to come and pay their respects. To-day rows of visitors could be seen visiting the place everyday. In his will, he stated his wish to be cremated and to have his

ashes buried in the hills of the north, centre, and south of Việt Nam. He said that he liked cremation because it was "more hygienic than burial and could also save land for agricul-tural purpose". By building this mausoleum, the successor Communist government inten-tionally violated this wish.

Ba Đình Square (Vietnamese: Quảng Trường Ba Đình) is the name of a famous square in Ha Noi where president Ho Chi Minh read the Dec-laration of Independence of Vietnam on Sep-tember 2, 1945. When Ho Chi Minh died, the granite Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum was built here to display his embalmed body. It remains a major site

of tourism and pilgrimage. Ba Dinh Square is in the center of Ba Dinh district, near the President's House and opposite the National Assembly.

YOUR DESTINATIONS BA DINH SQUARE :: DAYS 12

ONE PILLAR PAGODA :: DAYS 12

The One Pillar Pagoda (Vietnamese: Chùa Một Cột, for-

mally Diên Hựu tự 延祐寺 or Liên Hoa Đài 蓮花臺) is a historic Buddhist temple in Hanoi, the capital of Viet-nam. It is regarded alongside the Perfume Pagoda, as one of Vietnam's two most iconic temples. The pagoda was built by Emperor Ly Thai Tong, who ruled from 1028 to 1054. According to the court re-cords, Ly Thai Tong was childless and dreamt that he met the bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara, who handed him a baby son while seated on a lotus flower. Ly Thai Tong then married a peasant girl that he had met and she bore him a son. The emperor constructed the temple in gratitude for this in 1049, having been told by a monk named Thiền Tuệ to build the temple, by erecting a pillar in the middle of a lotus pond, similar to the one he saw in the dream.

Frommer's Review (www.frommers.com) Every city's got one, an homage point for Vietnam's na-tional hero, and this one is actually kind of interesting. In a large rotunda on the road heading from the new town toward the train station, the Ho Chi Minh Museum in Hue is the usual collection of photos and memorabilia telling the story of Ho's early life of poverty in Vinh, here with a stress on the years he spent in Hue during his father's tenure in the university. There are images and a reproduc-tion of the boat he sailed on as a galley hand, as well as a unique picture of Ho working in the kitchen of the Castle-ton Hotel in London in 1914, a time when his ideas about Marxism and revolution began to flower. The museum tells the history of Hue, from capital to revolution and the aftermath, in photos. Also find some interesting political

cartoons parodying French rule, as well as extensive copies and basic translations of Ho's writings -- the likes of the 8 Requirements of Society, which Ho presented at the Versailles Conference in Paris in 1919

YOUR DESTINATIONS HO CHI MINH MUSEUM :: DAYS 12

HOAN KIEM LAKE :: DAYS 12

Hoan Kiem Lake (Vietnamese: Hồ Hoàn Kiếm, meaning "Lake of the Returned Sword" or "Lake of the Restored Sword", also known as Hồ Gươm - Sword Lake) is a lake in the historical center of Hanoi, the capital city of Vietnam. The lake is one of the major scenic spots in the city and serves as a focal point for its public life. According to the legend, emperor Le Loi handed a magic sword called Heaven's Will which brought him victory in his revolt against the Chi-nese Ming Dynasty back to the Golden Turtle God (Kim Qui) in the lake and hence gave it its present name (the lake was formerly known as "Luc Thuy" meaning "Green Water"). The Tortoise Tower (Thap Rua) standing on a small island near the center of lake is linked to the legend.

Scenes from Vietnamese lore and history (including an-cient battles) are elaborately performed by colorful lac-quered puppets in an indoor pond, accompanied by tradi-tional Vietnamese folk mu-sic. It sounds awfully corny, but missing this Hanoi at-traction is like going to Paris and skipping the Eiffel Tower.

YOUR DESTINATIONS WATER PUPPETRY THEATER :: DAYS 12

HO CHI MINH CITY MUSEUM :: DAYS 14

Ho Chi Minh City Museum (Vietnamese language: Viện bảo tàng Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh) is a historical site in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The museum is situated at the corner of Lý Tự Trọng street and Nam Kỳ khởi nghĩa street, near Independence Palace. Called Gia Long Palace before the Fall of Saigon, it was the office of President of the Republic of Vietnam Ngô Đình Diệm when he returned to Vietnam after the Ge-neva Conference in 1954 and was the last place he worked before he was murdered in a coup d'etat in No-vember 1963. The successor presidents still worked here until the completion of Reunifica-tion Hall. After the Fall of Saigon, the palace was turned into a museum.

Reunification Palace, the former presi-dential palace of South Vietnam, is the one of the most popular destinations in the Ho Chi Minh City. Its outstanding ar-chitecture planned by Soviet architects, reminds you the image of a North Viet-namese tank collapsing the gates of the palace on 30th April 1975, indicating the victory of North Vietnam. The tank is still there in the front lawn of this historic palace.

This beautiful palace, having great historical importance for its connection with the Vietnam conflict, is now preserved as a museum.

Here, you will find practically every staple commodity imagin-able except automobiles and real estate. If consumerism offers in-timate glimpses of how people live, wandering among the tiny, packed stalls here will give you some unique insights into mod-ern Vietnamese life. The food court here has delicious and very tasty local specialties. Produce, flowers, and meats are sold on the sidewalks .
