Remember Halogen Floor Lamps?
We had one but it died a couple of years ago.

So, I took off the bulb cage by unscrewing the tiny bolts

Took out the bottles of old nailpaint at hand

Painted the bulbcage with nailpaint and what do have here

So, now you know. Using two unrelated objects to create something, hopefully, useful is called Chindogu.

Bulb is removed, the torchiere is cleaned
This is what the top looks like without the bulb and cage
Two 2.5” long stumps, which will be used for, well, you'll see!

I pulled out the cable from inside and cut it off. Now I had the bare column with top and base .
Removed first two parts of this column
And what do I get
Cage Removed
Base intact
Joined top with the lowest section
