Introduction

This study is done at Priyom Condiments Pvt. Ltd, Kumarapuram P.O, Pallikara, Cochin.

Priyom Started in 1987 is a trustworthy name in the field of packed food and condiment manufacturing.

This study undertakes to get an exposure to the functioning of different departments of the company.

It also helps to interact with the managers of different departments and to observe the workers at their work place.

Research is done with the help of study, experiment, observation, analysis, comparison and reasoning.

Methodology: The success of a research depends largely on the methodology used. The appropriate methodology will improve the validity of findings.

• Primary Data Primary data is directly collected from the employees,

departmental heads and the organization study guide in the organization.

• Secondary Data The secondary data is collected from company profiles

and annual reports, department manuals, brochures, various other internal documents and the website of the company. In addition to this related articles from journals, books, magazines and internet were referred.

Limitations of the Study

• As the study was conducted during a short period, a detailed study of all the functions in the organization could not be completed within this period.

• The company’s authorities could not disclose matters relating to some functional areas. Hence some areas could not be studied extensively.

• Authorities of all the departments had a busy schedule and hence there was no scope for detailed interviews or interactions with them.

field of packed food and condiment manufacturing industry, has a remarkable place in the hearts of taste lovers worldwide.

• Its plant situated at Cochin gives the finest quality Curry powder, Tea, Pickle, Chutney, Rice powder, Rice etc.

• Selections from the best fields or garden, Hi-tech processing, no – human touch line manufacturing, High Quality vacuum packing, speedy delivery are some specialties.

Priyom was bought by the KRC International Group in 2014, March and along with the Kaula.

Now the company has about 250 workers. The company directly distributes the product to

retailers. Now the company exports its products to various parts of the world like Middle East, USA, European countries etc and expanded the product line to rice products.

Priyom is an ISO 22000:2005 Certified company. The company also has HACCP (Hazard Analysis and

Critical Control Points) Certification.
