Audition Requirements:
Regular Chorus:Musical rehearsals will begin in August 2014 with staging rehearsals beginning in September. A full (tentative) schedule will be provided prior to the commencement of rehearsals. The 2014/2015 performance season runs from September 27, 2014 through March 15, 2015.
Supplementary Chorus:Musical rehearsals will begin in August 2014, with staging rehearsals beginning in September. Musical rehearsals involving the Supplementary Chorus are scheduled on weekdays in the late afternoon and evenings. Once staging begins there will also be weekend rehearsals. A full (tentative) schedule of rehearsals and performances will be provided prior to the commencement of rehearsals. The 2014/2015 performance season runs from September 27, 2014 through March 15, 2015.

Both arias must be memorized.• Lyric Opera of Chicago will furnish an
accompanist. You must provide a legible copy of each aria, in the correct key, for the accompanist.

Lyric Opera of Chicago’s 2014/15 season includes a remounting of Francesca Zambello’s critically acclaimed production of Porgy and Bess. African-American singers are highly encouraged to audition.
Lyric will also be auditioning for Porgy and Bess exclusively in New York City on February 7 and 8, 2014 (please visit www.lyricopera.org/about/auditions.aspx for more information).
