    PROFILE

    NYC UX Lead at Medidata Solutions, Fidelity, Atmosphere Proximity [BBDO], H4B Chelsea [Havas Health], and Razorfish NYC(2007-2013). More than three years experience in each of the following sectors:media/publishing, e-learning, financial/insurance, pharma, and automotive.     Lead User Experience Designer: (September 2015 to present) Medidata Solutions, NYC, NY.

    Leading the top NYC startup (in revenue) into enterprise-level platform UX integrations by conceptualizingand designing a new Reporting & Analytics primary landing page and dashboard for a comprehensive lifesciences SaaS clinical trial platform (an unintegrated collection of applications at the time I started).

    Strong UX leadership within a small global UX department needing to develop UX process documents,decks, and cross-business unit collaboration and coordination, to communicate the ROI and customervalue of UX within an engineering-culture dominated start-up making the shift to enterprise.

    Design Lead (Contractor): (January 2015 to August 2015) Fidelity Investments, Jersey City, NJ. Shepherded a strategy for redesign of Learning Center on the personal investing sector of Fidelity.com,

    from UX Brief through research, conceptual design, sprint planning and detailed design deliverables.

    Associate Director of User Experience: (January 2014 to December 2014)Atmosphere Proximity (BBDO). Responsible for business growth and development in a building the health and wellness practice with large

    clients such as Johnson & Johnson (DePuy Synthes) and Novo Nordisk (Saxenda, TruthAboutWeight.com).

    UX leadership in a growing department, mentoring junior UX designers, content strategists and businessanalysts, building out a research archive and library, and establishing document templates and standards,

    and evangelizing UX within a more traditional/creative advertising agency.

    Senior/Lead Information Architect (Contractor): (July 2013 to Dec. 2013) H4B Chelsea, division of Havas.

    Tasked with designing a multi-channel social engagement platform critical for patients and health careproviders as part of an intensive multi-year treatment program for a multiple sclerosis (Lemtrada).

    Responsible for unified UX vision across more than 10 different interactive sites and apps for iPad and Web(responsive design for mobile), for specific products for patients, health care providers, and reps.

    Senior Information Architect (also IA, FA):(January 2007 to June 2013) Razorfish NYC.

    Clients include: Major US Multi-line Insurance Provider (lead on multiple workstreams), BlackBerry,Prudential (lead on multiple workstreams), T. Rowe Price, Oppenheimer, MetLife (intranet redesign), EMC,American Red Cross (intranet redesign), Ford (multiple workstreams) and Cond Nast.Also worked on theimplementation of the redesign of Disneys ESPN.com (winner of two Webby Awards).

    Long-term subject matter expert on the Ford SYNC hands-free voice-control system, and primary UXdesigner for the initial MyFord and MyLincoln Touch owner support site, with social media strategy. Alsosolved integration issues within the Ford web ecosystem with the Ford Owner, Vehicle and Corporate sitesfor more than 2 years.

    Writer/Researcher:(Aug 2001 to Dec. 2006) CNN Headline News, Atlanta, GA. Started one month before 9/11 & wrote the on-screen 130-character headline ticker from 2001-2003,

    through some of the most intense breaking news in recent history. Freelanced for CNN's "AndersonCooper 360, April 2004. Completed copy editor training & staffed on copyediting shifts.

    Taught one-semester endowed visiting professorship, including seminar on weblogs and the citizenjournalism movement, while on leave from CNN. Co-advisor to student newspaper, directing the RSS-based redesign of CMS and its online edition.

    300+ attended public lecture on warblogs vs. traditional journalism delivered for the endowment.

Implemented redesign of PSA web portal and about a dozen clientsites, training and deploying a staff of 4 graduate assistant UX consultants and 2 undergraduateprogrammers. Implemented formal usability study post-launch with coded video data. Hosted and directedother grant-funded, nationally-published graduate thesis usability studies.

    Marketing & Recruitment Graduate Assistant:(1995-96) Electronic Media, Arts, & Communication(EMAC: interactive media program founded in 1995). Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, NY. EMAC inaugural web site received Best of RPInfo, a 1996 award for web design excellence. Won Rensselaer Founder's Award (highest award given at RPI) for work with EMAC.

    Completed one of the first born digital webbed dissertations in the US (cited in Chronicle of Higher Ed.,2005), an online ethnography that cant be reproduced on paper and doesnt read same way twice.
