Every single dollar donated to the Christchurch Earthquake Appeal has counted. Every dollar went directly to help rebuild those things that are at the heart of Christchurch communities, the places and services that make a city worth living in.
On 22 February 2011 a magnitude 6.3 earthquake struck Christchurch.
Just five days later, on 27 February 2011, the Christchurch Earthquake Appeal was launched by Prime Minister John Key, as the Government’s official, global fundraiser for the recovery effort in Greater Christchurch.
