GAUGE: Square: 2 1\2” X 2 1\2” Bodice: 4 sts = 2”, 5 rows = 2”Finished size: 3\6 months or 25” from neck edge to bottom and 24” at waist or where bodice meets skirt.

FINISHING TOUCHES:With needle and matching thread sew eight snaps evenly along back opening of christening gown.To finish sleeves, cut the 3\8” ribbon in half. Thread ribbon over and under dc in edging. Gather sleeves to fitaround child’s arm and tie in a bow.Take the 18” X 43” piece of material and fold 1\4” under along all edges and press. Fit the material along the backinside of the gown’s skirt between back facings and skirt edging. With matching thread and needle, sew in place.Cut two 50” piece of ribbon from the 7\8” ribbon. Find the center of ea ribbon and tie into a bow. Sew a bow to easide of gown at bodice.
