•Final Released June 2, 2010•Authors - educators, content experts, researchers,

national organizations, parents, community/business leaders•Organized by CCSSO and NGA•Currently Math and ELA/Literacy•CC Science standards are in process but there are no

plans to develop CC Social Studies standards at this point•College and Career Readiness Standards incorporated•Revisions will be made on a set review cycle

CCS Theory

Focus on core conceptual understandings and procedures starting in the early grades
