A M erry C hristm as to You
It is said that words and thoughts have wings
—that an emotion can spread like lightning. Then
what a fine tradition is Christmas happiness and
joy spreading good will to everyone. Who can
hear the cheery “Merry Christmas!” without feel
ing a warmth and pleasure in response ? Christmas
is for everyone, no matter what their age or race or
creed, for with folks on every side radiating the
spirit of good fellowship all who hear must be af
fected. So let’s all sing out a hearty “Merry
Christmas!” and for at least one time in the year
send this greeting of real fellowship out so often
and so strongly that it must surely wrap the whole
earth in a blanket of love for all.

For You To Feel Well24 hours every day, 7 days every
week, never stopping, the kidneys filter waste matter from the blood.
If more people were aware of how ths kidneys must constantly remove surplus fluid, excess acids and other waste matter that cannot stay in the blood without injury to health, there would be better understanding of why the whole system is upset when kidneys fail to function'properly.
Burning, scanty or too frequent urination sometimes warns that something Is wrong. You may suffer nagging backache, headaches, dizziness, rheumatio pains, getting up at nights, swelling.
Why not try Doan’s Pills'! You will be using a medicine recommended the country over. Doan’s stimulate the function of the kidneys and help them to flush out poisonous waste from the blood. They contain nothing harmful. Get Doan’s today. Use with confidence. At all drug stores.

For Xmas Rush
Hundreds more operators than usual will be on the job at the Long Distance switchboards this Christmas, foregoing opening their packages with the family to help you reach Aunt Minnie in Minneapolis or Uncle Oliver in Ottumwa, but. . . .
I f you are planning to say “Merry Christmas” by Long Distance this year, better do it the day before or the day after Christmas. T hat’s the tip offered by New Jersey Bell Telephon Company, which says all signs point to tra ffic jam s on the nation’s voice highways on the Big Day.

f# “I’ll be on duty throughout the Holidays—doing my best to handle all your calls. But so many folks want to call across the miles at Christmas that we can’t take care of them all at once — even with a lot of new circuits and every available

Fredric March and Florence Eldridge, who had snch success on the stage in “ The Skin of Your Teeth,” are seqn in a new picture with a message, “ Live Today for Tomorrow” deals with the ticklish subject of mercy killing.
Unlike most of his contemporaries, Bing Crosby has no plans for a trip to Europe. He recently rejected 10,000 pounds to make a personal appearance in London— an offer some Hollywoodites would give their right eyes for! Bing’s reason was that he was too busy with his new picture, “ Top o’ the Morning,” and his radio shows and he didn’t want to go anyway.
