INTRODUCTION

HI, MY NAME IS MAURICE AND I’M 9 YEARS OLD. MY FAMILY CELEBRATES CHRISTMAS WITH AMERICAN TRADITIONS. MY GRANDPARENTS LIVED IN N.Y. FOR TWENTY YEARS AND MY MOM WAS BORN THERE.

WE START PREPARING FOR CHRISTMAS AT THANKSGIVING WHICH IS CELEBRATED THE FOUTH THURSDAY IN NOVEMBER. OUR CHRISTMAS DAY DINNER CONSISTS OF MANY GOODIES AND ONE FAVORITE DESSERT IS OUR CHRISTMAS TRIFLE.

INGREDIENTS

350 GRAMS PLAIN SPONGE CAKE1 LTR MILKMARTINI ROSSOSTRAWBERRY OR RASPBERRY JAMCHOCOLATE PUDDING MIXVANILLA PUDDING MIX700 GRAMS RICOTTA250-350 GRAMS ICING SUGAR25 GRAMS CHOPPED MILK CHOCOLATE

100 GRAMS WALNUTS-OPTIONAL1-2 TSP SUGAR OR SWEETENERCHOCOLATE BUTTONS ROUND PYREX DISH

STEP 1

THINLY SLICE THE SPONGE CAKE TO COVER THE ENTIRE BOTTOM OF THE DISH.

THEN COVER THE SPONGE CAKE WITH THE STRAWBERRY JAM.

DRIZZLE WITH MARTINI ROSSO OVER THE ENTIRE LAYER.

STEP 2

PREPARE FIRST LAYER WITH THE CHOCOLATE PUDDING.

MIX THE POWDER WITH 500 MLS OF MILK AND ADD SUGAR OR SWEETENER TO TASTE. STIR CONSTANTLY UNTIL MIXTURE THICKENS.

WHEN PUDDING IS READY, IMMEDIATELY POUR OVER THE SPONGE CAKE LAYER.

STEP 3

REPEAT STEP 1 OVER THE CHOCOLATE PUDDING LAYER (NOT PICTURED).

PREPARE SECOND LAYER WITH THE RICOTTA MIXTURE.

COMBINE THE RICOTTA, ICING SUGAR ACCORDING TO TASTE, CHOPPED CHOCOLATE AND WALNUTS IN A BOWL.

THEN PLACE THE RICOTTA MIXTURE OVER THE ENTIRE SPONGE CAKE LAYER.

REPEAT STEP 1 OVER THE RICOTTA MIXTURE.

PREPARE THIRD LAYER WITH THE VANILLA PUDDING.

MIX THE POWDER WITH 500 MLS OF MILK AND ADD SUGAR OR SWEETENER TO TASTE. STIR CONSTANTLY UNTIL MIXTURE THICKENS.

WHEN PUDDING IS READY, IMMEDIATELY POUR OVER THE SPONGE CAKE LAYER.

DECORATE WITH CHOCOLATE BUTTONS.

CHILL FOR AT LEAST THREE HOURS.
