John 9:1-12

Christ’s Commitments

We must commit to the Cause.

Jesus saw the blind man.

He had

compassion and

cared for him.

The man struggled with this all his life.

There are things we cannot change, but God can.

Jesus includes his followersin the Father’s work.

Man progressively sees spiritually regarding Jesus.

Four Stages of Spiritual Sight

• At first the man recognized the Lord “as the man they call Jesus” - 9:11.

• The man calls him a “prophet” – 9:17.

Four Stages of Spiritual Sight

• Next, he calls him one who was “from God” and had performed a miracle never done before – 9:32-33.

• Finally, he calls him “the Son of Man,” the Messiah – 9:35-39.

RESPONDING TO THE TEXT

• We must always keep learning and maturing.

• When we walk with God we will cooperate with His work and we will see His power.

• Be determined to do the Father’s work like Jesus.
