৯.X is an ethnic beverage used by the tribe Dimasa. The ingredients of this beverage/liquor are generally Rice, different herbal medicines etc. It is commonly used in different festivals of Dimasa tribe. The barks of the local tree ‘Tremphra’ is the used for the production of this beverage. This is mixed with rice and water and some cakes are made. These are kept in sunlight for a few days. When these become dry and thick, these are called as Sumaos. Sumaos are kept inside the banana leaves for another few weeks. After that these are kept inside Kolohs( or Iyendhi) for 1-2 weeks. After that interval, the Sumaos secrete a kind of liquid and these are poured outside the Kolohs with the help of some canals using bamboo stick.
