Yachtsman®/Boatsman®

For watercraft up to $3,000,000 in value

Chubb’s industry-leading protection is available for both yachts and small boats, of varying types and sizes. This means small boat owners will enjoy the same superior coverages as those afforded yacht owners, automatically and at no additional charge.

Agreed Value Coverage – If your boat or yacht is totaled, you’ll receive the entire Agreed Value, and will not pay a deductible.

Liability Protection – Commonly known as protection and indemnity. Select the coverage limits you want and receive coverage for legal defense costs, pollution/fuel spills, wreck removal and Jones Act coverage for paid crew. We’ll pay legal defense costs on top of your regular liability limit.

Medical Payments – We’ll cover reasonable medical and related expenses for all those onboard, as well as those boarding or leaving your insured boat or yacht – on a per person basis.

Uninsured Boater Coverage – We’ll pay for bodily injury to anyone aboard your insured vessel who is injured by an uninsured owner or operator of another vessel.

Pollution/Fuel Spill Coverage – In case of pollution or fuel spill, you can receive up to $939,800 (the statutory limit of the Oil Pollution Act of 1990 (OPA)) for cleanup and restoration, in addition to the liability limits. Your policy also includes an automatic increase feature that will match any future increase of OPA statutory limits.

Marine Environmental Damage Coverage – Your policy automatically provides coverage for marine environmental damage, up to your liability limit, and includes an additional $10,000 for fines and penalties.

Salvage Costs and Loss Protection – If you take measures to protect your watercraft from further loss or damage, or if the recovery of your watercraft is deemed salvage, we provide the same amount of coverage to your hull limit, in addition to the hull coverage, without an applicable deductible

Hurricane Haul-Out Coverage – Automatically included for no additional charge. If you live in a storm-prone area, we will cover your expenses for hauling your vessel out of the water and storing it safely during a named storm.

Elite Yacht®

For mega-yachts – vessels over $3,000,000

If you own a luxury yacht valued at $3 million or more, with a length of 70 feet or longer, and employ at least a dedicated full-time paid captain, you can feel confident, knowing you have Chubb’s professional expertise and highly customized protection behind you.

Our Elite Yacht® policy provides among the highest levels of coverage available to protect you and your luxury yacht, as well as your onboard guests and valuable assets. You can elect significantly increased protection levels for the most important coverages, as well as unique features including:

Hull Deductible Waiver – If the damage to your vessel exceeds the deductible or is deemed a total loss, you will receive full payment and will not have to pay the deductible.

Deductible-Free Coverages – The Elite Yacht® policy is virtually deductible-free. Chubb provides many additional and extended coverages – with no deductible – for personal property, navigational equipment, tenders and personal watercraft and fine art, to name just a few.

Customized worldwide navigation is available along with many other valuable benefits.

Personal Watercraft

Protection is available nationwide, at competitive rates, for an array of model types along with liability limits up to $500,000.
