Se nos ha dado la Ley, se nos ha dado la Escritura, Dios nos ha hablado, y parecería que serle fiel a loque Él nos dice es una carga insoportable, es una cadena que nos amarra. Parecería que Dios nos ponebarreras, y no nos damos cuenta que no son barreras para coartar nuestra libertad, sino para preser-varnos en la vida.

Nos hemos sido hecho para la muerte, por lo tanto, el que mata (homicidio, aborto, etc.) acaba consigomismo y con el prójimo, y los demonios entran en la vida de esa persona y se manifiestan como tenta-ciones fuertes y hasta pecados. No hemos sido hecho para ser infieles, por lo tanto, quien es infiel (aDios, a su cónyuge, a sus hermanos, etc.) termina siendo un mentiroso consigo mismo y los demás, ylos demonios, expertos en mentira, se adueñan de su vida y lo destruyen.

Lo que Dios nos ha regalado en las Leyes que nos preparó es para que seamos libres amándolo a Él yamando a los demás. Si nos decidimos por el pecado ya no es libertad, sino que nos hacemos esclavos.Pero los ciegos, los sordos, los cautivos somos todos liberados “hoy”, cuando tú y yo aceptamos laVerdad de Dios, que es Cristo, como nuestra única, primer y última Ley Suprema..

We have been given the Law, we have been given the Scripture, God has spoken to us, and it would seemthat being faithful to what He tells us is an unbearable burden, it is a chain that binds us. It would seemthat God puts us barriers, and we do not realize that they are not barriers to restrict our freedom, but topreserve us in life.

We have been made for death, therefore, the one who kills (murder, abortion, etc.) ends with himselfand with his neighbor, and the demons enter into the life of that person and manifest as strong tempta-tionsand even sins. We have not been made to be unfaithful, therefore, who is unfaithful (God, his spou-se, his brothers, etc.) ends up being a liar with himself and others, and demons, experts in lying, takeover of his life and destroy it.

What God has given us in the Laws that prepared us is for us to be free by loving Him and loving others. Ifwe decide for sin it is no longer freedom, but we become slaves. But the blind, the deaf, the captives areall liberated "today", when you and I accept the Truth of God, which is Christ, as our only, first and lastSupreme Law.

*En Jesús se cumplen las profecía deBuena Noticia para el pueblo: liberación yconsuelo. En Jesús, todos somos llama-dos a anunciar la Buena Noticia a losdemás: a predicar la libertad a los oprimi-dos, a evangelizar a los pobres, y anunciarla gracia del Señor.

*¿Qué cosas parece que nos oprimen ynos quitan libertad?

*¿Qué buenas noticias de cariño, orgullode familia, generosidad, y perdon noshemos dado unos a otros en esta sema-na?

*In Jesus the prophecy of Good Newsfor the people is fulfilled: liberation, con-solation. In Jesus, we all are called toannounce the Good New to others: topreach freedom for the oppressed, toevangelize the poor, to announce thegrace of the Lord.

*What seems to be oppressing us andtaking away our freedom?

*What good news: of affection, pride,family closeness, generosity, and forgive-ness, have we given each other thisweek?

FAMILY PRAYERLord, we desire to hear good news in

our lives. Sometimes we have it veryclose: news of kindness, reconciliation,and generosity. Give us light to recognizethese pieces of news and also to begood news for one another. Amen
