APRIL 2019SUNDAY 21 – Easter SundayJn 20:1-9 (42)

The Lord Jesus Christ has risen! The tomb is empty. They have taken the Lord from amongus. He is no longer sharing our suffering, because He took it, He killed death, and He roseagain so that suffering does not exist in those who will live with Him, and so that life will beentirely and eternally life in Him, as it was God’s Will from the beginning.

His Resurrection is a real event, not a personal experience. He was resurrected almost twothousand years ago, and truly, in His Body and His Soul, in His Humanity and His Divinity. Itwas not an experience in the heart of the magdalene and the apostles; It was real, and it'sstill real. Therefore, following the Lord is not an ethical decision or a self-belief, but a realrelationship between people.

Resurrection with the Lord begins today, but the real resurrection will occur at the end oftime, for the Final Judgment. Let us ask God to allow us to begin to resuscitate in everyaspect of our life, so that we are more and more similar to the Lord Jesus, so that we do notcare so much about life that we fear death, and that we trust God so much that He eventake us out of death.

¡Ha resucitado el Señor Jesucristo! La tumba está vacía. Se han llevado al Señor de entrenosotros. Ya no está compartiendo nuestro sufrimiento, porque Él lo asumió, mató a lamuerte, y resucitó para que el sufrimiento no exista en aquellos que viviremos con Él, y paraque la vida sea enteramente y eternamente vida en Él, como en el principio fue la Voluntadde Dios.Su Resurrección es un acontecimiento real, no de una experiencia personal. Él resucitóhace casi dos mil años, y de verdad, en Su Cuerpo y Su alma, en Su Humanidad y SuDivinidad. No fue una experiencia en el corazón de la magdalena y los apóstoles; fue algoreal, y sigue siendo real. Por ello, seguir al Señor no es una decisión ética ni un auto-con-vencimiento, sino que es una relación real entre personas.Resucitar con el Señor empieza hoy, pero la resurrección real ocurrirá al final de los tiem-pos, para el Juicio Final. Pidamos a Dios que nos permita empezar a resucitar en cadaaspecto de nuestra vida, para que seamos cada vez más parecidos al Señor Jesús, paraque no nos importe tanto la vida que le temamos a la muerte, y que confiemos tanto en Diosque Él hasta nos saque de la muerte.

Mensaje de Pascua

Jesucristo ha resucitado! En verdad resucitóLa Resurrección de nuestro Señor Jesucristo es el acontecimiento histórico que determinanuestro ser cristiano. Seguimos a un Cristo que vive y vive entre nosotros. al decir que esacontecimiento histórico, estamos diciendo que la Resurrección de Jesús tiene un dónde,un cuándo y unos testigos, que dan testimonio de ella (Lc. 24, 6). Nosotros, cristianossomos hoy testigos de este Cristo Resucitado que anunciamos sin miedo y con alegría estanoticia con nuestras vidas y acciones, a ejemplo de San Pablo en el areópago de atenasque sin temor anuncia convencido y con entusiasmo al Cristo Resucitado, incluso a aquellosque no creen (Hch. 17, 22-32).

Hoy hacemos memoria y celebramos el encuentro de las mujeres y los discípulos con elCristo Resucitado (mt. 28, 1-10). Es un momento oportuno para que cada uno de nosotrosseamos reanimados por la alegría de la Pascua. actualicemos y renovemos nuestroencuentro con el Resucitado y dejemos atrás los signos y culturas de muerte del mundo dehoy, que como león rugiente ronda buscando a quien devorar.

El Señor Jesús, no se ha quedado paralizado en el recuerdo; Él ha salido victorioso de sutumba (Jn. 20, 1-18) salió del lugar de la muerte, del llanto, sufrimiento y tristeza, para querompamos las ataduras que nos anulan, nos paralizan y no nos dejan encontrar respuestasa nuestras heridas, lágrimas y rupturas que, a veces, nos obliga hacer la realidad de la vida.La celebración de la Pascua cada año debe motivarnos a cultivar los signos visibles del

resucitado en nuestra vida cristiana: el ánimo; el perdón a los enemigos; la solidaridad conlos que viven en las periferias de nuestras ciudades; debe despertar esperanza en los quehan sido privados de su libertad.

animo hermanos, vivimos en esperanza confiando que en el Cristo que venció la muerteesta nuestra fuerza.

Easter Message From the Pastor

Jesus Christ has risen! Truly He has resurrected

The Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ is the historical event that determines our Christian being. We follow aChrist who is alive. In saying that it is a historical event, we are saying that the resurrection of Jesus has a where, awhen and witnesses, that testify to it (LK. 24: 6). We as Christians are today witnesses of this resurrected Christwho we announce, without fear and with joy, this news with our lives and actions, just like Saint Paul in theareopagus of athens that without fear announces, convinced and with enthusiasm, to the resurrected Christ, evento those who do not believe (acts 17: 22-32).

Today we recall and celebrate the meeting of the women and the disciples with the Risen Christ (mt. 28: 1-10). It isan appropriate time for each of us to be revived by the joy of Passover. Let us update and renew our encounterwith the resurrected one and leave behind the signs and cultures of death of today's world, which as a roaring lioncirculates looking for whom to devour.

The Lord Jesus has not been paralyzed in the memory; He has emerged victorious from his tomb (Jn. 20: 1-18) Heleft the place of death, of weeping, suffering, and sadness, that we may break the bonds which nullify us, paralyzeus, and not let us find answers to our wounds, tears, and ruptures which, at times , compels us to make the realityof life.

The celebration of Easter every year must motivate us to cultivate the visible signs of the risen in our Christian life:the Spirit, forgiveness to enemies, solidarity with those who live in our cities. We must give hope to those who havebeen deprived of their freedom.

I encourage you, brothers and sisters, to live in hope trusting that in the Christ who overcame death is our strength.
