COMMITMENT WEEKEND CARDINAL APPEAL

For the next few weeks, our parish will actively conduct the Cardinal’s Annual Stewardship Appeal. Cardinal Dolan mentioned in a letter that the Appeal is the lifeblood of our archdiocese and critical to the work and life of each of its parishes, including ours. As we consider our pledge to the 2016 Cardinal’s Appeal, we recognize thst all we have is a gift from God. As a sign of our gratitude, we respond with a gift to the Appeal, which helps all Catholic Institutions do their work of minis-tering to the needs of God’s people. This work includes car-ing for our retired clergy and religious; educating our future priests; teaching children the truths of our faith; supporting parishes that need help with their expenses so they can still preach the Word of God and administer the Sacraments. This work also includes ministry offices that reach people of different ages and ethnicities. As you consider your gift of thanksgiving, please realize that you are not alone in this effort. To date our parish has received 42 pledges, totaling $7,365.00. This is 18% of our goal of $40,500.00 We will have our first in-pew solicitation on the weekend 16 & 17 of April. We thank you for your generous support.

Jesus said to them, "Come, have breakfast." And none of the disciples dared to ask him, "Who are you?" because they real-ized it was the Lord. Jesus came over and took the bread and

gave it to them, and in like manner the fish. - Jn 21:12-13

- Jn 21, 12-13
