Ref: SMP/BDA/CIMFR/2016-17 February 28, 2017 Sub: Request for nominations for training on ‘Flameproof Equipment’ School of Maintenance Practices shall be conducting a training on ‘Flameproof Equipment’ at Central Institute of Mining and Fuel Research (CIMFR), Dhanbad. Details of the training are as follows: a) Schedule: March 27, 2017 i.e. Monday to Friday i.e. March 31 , 2017 b) Type : Residential c) Qualifications: Q1 / Q2 d) Disciplines: Electrical /Instrumentation e) Brief description of the training: The training will deal with Area Classification and types of
protections as per NEC and IEC, Intrinsically safe design aspects and its application for classified hazardous area, Safety requirement for oil fields, Selection, inspection and maintenance of electrical equipment for explosive atmospheres, Design evaluation, testing, certification and approval of electrical equipment for hazardous areas, FLP laboratory visit, Design features and recent development of ‘Ex’ motors for safe use in oil mines.
