What’s New In Mastercam - Future Operating System Support
With the coming release of Mastercam X7 in the 1st quarter of 2013, we would like to
take this time to send you an important reminder.
Please note that as of Mastercam X7, Windows XP and Vista will no longer be supported platforms to run Mastercam.
You will be able to continue running Mastercam X6 on your XP or Vista operating sys-tems, but will be unable to install or upgrade to X7 until you update your operating
system. For Mastercam X7, which is due to be released in the 1st quarter of 2013, the supported operating systems are Windows 7 and Windows 8(if released). If you have
any questions, please contact support at [email protected] or call 732-699-0400 ext 1.

Mass Change of Surface Normals in Mastercam
Solid modeling represents the state of the art in CAD today. It is at times still necessary to use surfaces for a variety of reasons. If normals direction can affect your process this may be of interest.
Surfaces have a normal (i.e. positive side) and a back (i.e. negative) side.
