The main image of this front cover is placed to the top right of the page. Her eye line is in the top third of the page and looks as if she is looking straight at the reader. The image of Ariana Grande is a medium shot image which clearly shows her happy facial expression.

Pop magazines tend to use a lot of images on the front cover, most of them being medium shots in order to make the reader feel that they are being addressed directly.

The 3 main colours that are on this front cover are red, blue and yellow. These are all primary colours and are colours that both Boys and Girls like.

The eye line of the main image is in line with the mast head. This shows the reader the importance of whoever the main images is.

Contents Page

The contents page has many images all linked to the genre of pop. Most of the shots are mid shots and range from large images to small images.

Medium close up shots are used in order to fully show the facial expressions of the celebrities.

The lighting used in the images is mainly high hey, this is so you can see the facial expressions well and helps the reader feel involved in the magazine.

The colour scheme is bright and colourful giving the magazine a young feel and allowing the reader to see the artists in the magazine are up to date.

Double Page Spread

The use of a medium shot allows the reader to see the artist's facial expression as well as high key lighting. Her eye line is also on the top third of the page showing her importance.

The use of pink shows the reader that this article is aimed at girls.

The medium shot has been used to show body language of the character.
