CIPD Level 7 Advanced qualifications are the most widely-recognised professional qualifications in the field of HR and Development. Set at postgraduate level, they are also the highest level of qualifications CIPD offers. Studying a CIPD Level 7 Advanced qualification will help you develop your breadth of knowledge and specialise in your chosen area. The Advanced Diploma will also provide a pathway to a Chartered Membership.

CIPD Advanced Level qualifications enable you to learn how to develop and implement creative and strategic HR solutions that drive organisational performance. You will also be able to develop your understanding of organisations and the external context within which HR operates.

CIPD Advanced level qualifications are comparable to a Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) Level 7 (or Postgraduate Level). This is comparable to Level 9 in Ireland, Level 11 in Scotland and the European Qualifications Framework (EQF) Level 7

Who is a CIPD Advanced qualification for?

What is the admission criteria?

CIPD Advanced qualifications are ideal for those who:

• are responsible for HR decision making within an organisation at a strategic level• have responsibility for the HR function and activities within an organisation, including HR development• are working as an independent or employed HRM/HRD consultant, supporting organisations in meeting their goals• aspire to become a Chartered member of CIPD.

CIPD Advanced Level Certificate and Diploma qualifications provide you with a professionally recognised qualification and a professional level of membership, Associate (Assoc CIPD). Plus CIPD Advanced Diploma also allows you to gain recognition for your HRM or HRD experience through CIPD Chartered membership (Chartered Member or Chartered Fellow).

1. A Bachelor’s degree from a well- recognised university with English language as a

medium of instruction and/or an IELTS score of 6.5 [Academic].

2. Pass the BIBF admission test which is a case analysis in HR [duration 2 hours]

3. Pass the diagnostic interview with the BIBF CIPD panel [maximum 1 hour]

Level 7 Advanced Certificate in Human Resources

Students are able to gain credits for completed modules. A Certificate qualification is a total of 60 credits. To achieve a CIPD Level 7 Certificate in Human Resources, you will need to successfully complete four modules listed in the table below:

A Certificate qualification (60 credits) is a total of 600 study hours of which 300 hours should be private study. On average it can take 8-10 months to complete.

This qualification enables you to develop your skills of HR through undertaking more modules and through widening your breadth of HR knowledge further. The top-up to an Advanced Diploma qualification requires an additional 60 credits. It is a total of 600 study hours of which 300 should be private study. On average it can take 8-10 months to complete.

A Diploma qualification is the highest size qualification at this level. This qualification enables you to develop your skills of HR through undertaking more modules and through widening your breadth of HR knowledge further. Students are able to gain credits for completed modules. A Diploma qualification is a total of 120 credits. It is a total of 1200 study hours of which 600 should be private study. On average it can take 1 ½ - 2 years to complete.
