Cisco retires CCNA Voice and CCNP Voice Certifications

CCNA Voice, CCNA Video and CCNP Voice certifications dissolved !

On 17 February, 2015 Cisco announced the retirement of CCNA Voice and CCNP Voice certifications, introducing

CCNA Collaboration and CCNP Collaboration certification in place of the prior ones. The last day to test CCNA Voice

certification will be 14 August, 2015, post which CCNA Voice certification will become inactive. Last date to testify CCNP

Voice certification on the other hand has not been disclosed yet but will be available till last quarter of 2015.  CCNA Video

certification by Cisco has also been retired with CCNA Voice and CCNP Voice certifications with 14 August, 2015 as its

last testifying date i.e. after this date CCNA Video certification will become inactive and no candidate will be able to take

the exam for the same.

The changes in these certifications were made to provide an extensive array of distinguishing opportunities and relevant

career path to voice and video network engineers responsible for developing, advancing, and assessing their expertise.

CCNA Collaboration Certification Training

CCNA Collaboration course training has been designed by merging CCNA Voice and CCNA Video curriculum. Major

changes made in the new CCNA Collaboration certification introduced have precisely been made to cast he emergence of

new technologies introduced. The course of topics covered under this certification can be summed up as follows:

1. ICOMM : included in the new CICD course and exam

2. VIVND: included within new CIVND courses and exams

Note: 15-20% of CCNA Video’s topics have been added in CCNA Collaboration course, making the certification’s

outreach extremely extensive.  

 

CCNP Collaboration Certification Training

CCNP Collaboration Course has been introduced as a replacement to CCNP Voice certification. This course aim towards

expanding the genre of advanced collaborative skills required to design, deploy, configure, and troubleshoot Cisco

Collaboration and Unified communication applications, devices and networks. Basically for applicants willing to expand

their skillset and knowledge inclusive of abilities to deliver highest quality results and optimum business value.
