PhonesTab

MyPhonesOnceyouhaveloggedintotheSelfCarePortal,thescreenbelowwillappear,butwithyournameandthetypeofphoneyouuse.FortheexamplebelowunderMyPhones,showsasoftware-basedphone(Jabber)andadeskphoneassignedtothisuser.Ifyouhavemorethanonephonenumberonyourdeskphone,itwillshowuphereasseparatephones.

AdditionalPhones

SingleNumberReachAdditionalPhonesiswhereyousetuptheabilitytoansweryourworkphoneonanotherdevice,suchasacellphone.ThisfeatureiscalledSingleNumberReach.Youmayalsoknowthisasdualring.

EnableMovetoMobile(LiveTransfer)AnotherfeatureyoucanturnonunderAdditionalPhonesiscalledEnableMovetoMobileorlivetransfer.Thisallowsyoutobeonacallonyourdeskphoneandtransferthelivecalltoanotherdevicesuchasyourcellphoneandcontinuetheconversationasyouleaveyouroffice.Thistransferistransparenttothecaller.Youcantransferacallfromyouralternativedevice(cellphone)backtoyourdeskphone.However,onthereturnfromyourcellphonetoyourworkphone,thecallerisplacedonhold–theyhearonholdmusic.Whenyoupickupyourofficephone,youwillbeconnectedagain.Note:Transferbacktodeskphonefrommobilephonecanonlybedoneifthephonecallwasoriginallytransferredfromthedeskphonetothemobilephone.Itdoesnotworkifthecalloriginatedonthecellphone.

HOWTO:ConfiguringSingleNumberReachandEnableMovetoMobileSelectonPhonesatthetopleft.ThenselectMyPhonesifnotalreadyselected.Inthemainwindow,youshouldseethefollowingundertheheading:AdditionalPhones.Clickontheplus(+)sign.

HOWTO:MobilephonetodeskphonetransferTherearetwomethodstotransferacallfromyourmobilephonetoyourdeskphone:1.ThefirstmethodisonlyavailableforcallsthatwerepreviouslytransferredtoamobilephoneusingMobility(deskphonetomobilephonetransferfeature).WhenyouareonyourmobilephoneandwanttoLivetransferbacktoyourdeskphone,thepersonwithwhomyouarespeakingisplacedonhold.Thecallerwillhearonholdmusicuntilyouconnectthecallagainonyourdeskphone. Step1:Hangupthecallonyourcellphone.Thisplacesthecalleronholdand

AlternativetoSingleNumberReachFacultyrequestedafeaturewiththenewphonesystemtocontactstudentsusingtheirpersonalcellphonewithoutrevealingtheirpersonalcellphonenumbertothestudents.TheJabberAPPforsmartphonesallowsdistrictfulltimeemployeeswithanassignedphonenumbertomakeandreceivecallsusingtheirdistrictassignedphonenumberontheircellphone.Note:cellphoneminutes/datachargesapplywhenusingtheappToconfigureyourassigneddistrictphonenumberforusewiththeJabberAPP,youmustcreateanETSRequestforHelp(usingabrowsergotoetshelp.fhda.edu;signinusingyourMyPortalIDandpassword)andaskthatyourdistrictassignedphonenumberbeconfiguredforusewiththeJabberMobileAPP. SpeedDialNumbersThestandarddesktelephoneallowsyoutoassignspeeddialnumberstothebottomthreebuttonstotheleftoftheLCDscreen.Ifyoumanagemorethantwophonenumbers,youwillhavefeweravailablephysicalbuttonsforspeeddialing.However,youcanstillcreateupto99speeddialnumbers.Atthetimeyourphonewasdeployed,speeddialnumbersmayhavebeenconfiguredforyou.

CreateSpeedDialNumbersUnderthePhonestabatthetopleftandthenPhoneSettings.ClickonthesmallarrowtotheleftofSpeedDialNumbers.

ClickonAddNewSpeedDialtoaddaspeeddialtoyourphone.Fillinthefieldsandassignaspeeddialnumberfrom1to99.ThenclickonSave.
