Prerequisites:
Valid ECU ADS username
iOS v6.0 or later
At least 100MB free space 1. If you do not have Cisco AnyConnect VPN client app installed on your
mobile device, please go to App Store and search “Cisco AnyConnect”.
2. Select the Cisco Any Connect App. Make sure the App available is compatible with your device iOS version.

3. Tap on “FREE” and it should change to “INSTALL”. Tap on “INSTALL” to start installation.

4. Now fill up the password field for iTunes to allow installation.
5. The download will finish in few minutes (depending on network speed.) Use
WiFi to avoid 3G data charges.
6. After installation, find Cisco AnyConnect icon and open it.

7. This app needs access to VPN service on your mobile device. Please allow it
if you want to use Cisco AnyConnect VPN.
8. Now tap on “Add Connection”

9. Fill up info as below and save.
10. Yyou can see “ECU” listed under Connection list. Make sure you have it
“ticked” as current connection profile, before enabling AnyConnect VPN. Slide/tap the “OFF” key and this will initialise VPN session.

11. Tap on “Group” field and select first option if you are ECU Staff/Student.

13. A banner will pop up to inform you of ECU’s Authorised access only policy.
Read it and “Accept” the policy to continue if you are not violating ECU policy.

14. Now you are connected to ECU VPN if you get following screen.

15. Select 2nd tab from bottom left and check your connection
statistics/details, if needed.

16. You will find “VPN “ icon in your screen’s top bar whenever VPN is active.
17. To end VPN session, simply slide the “on” key and this will drop the VPN connection to ECU.
