- This project proposed a bridge grade separation for Peoria Street over the Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR) between Smith Road in Aurora, and East 37th Avenue in Denver, to carry vehicular and pedestrian traffic over the UPRR rail corridor. Preliminary design considered a three-span bridge, with Mechanically Stabilized Earth (MSE) walls and cast-in-place concrete cantilever walls. As part of this project, new roadway improvements on Peoria Street and modifications to existing side streets to allow access to businesses and improve traffic flow. - Obtain CATEX clearance along with 30% complete plans. After CATEX clearance has been obtained, the project will be delivered via Design/Build. The design and construction of this project will be using the Design Build delivery method.
